Day 128 - 2025-02-05

Still the downswing stuff. Not a lot as the QuadMAX is acting up so I spent more time than I should have had to spend trying to play with that.

Day 204: range day. Went to the range and filmed. It looks pretty solid, just need to make sure I feel like the club is slightly more upright in the middle of the backswing. I am really happy with how it's looking though.

Day 1: 2/6/2025

Oh crap on a cracker!

I forgot to post again. That makes three. So now I'm starting over. It's actually easier for me to find time to practice than it is for me to remember to post my practices.

Anyway, mirrors today. Putting mirrors and swing mirrors. I sent my latest videos to Yoda and he said my timing is all wonky. So, now I'm trying to correct some timing issues and smooth things out. BTW - The timing IS all wonky so that's not a complaint, just a fact. Maybe I'll post my latest swing videos in my My Swing Thread. .... If I remember to post them. .... ARGH!!!!!

Here's a picture of my trying to post my practice stuff:

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Day 16 (6 Feb 25) - It was my weekly nine hole round with my friend Mike.  Played with 10 club set (D, 6i-Pw, 50, 54, 58 and putter).  Played from the gold tees -so it was driver off tee except the par 3’s.  Driver behaved nicely - 6 of 7 fairways hit off the tee.  Longer 4’s and par 5’s were 6i followed often by a short iron or wedge if the green was missed (only 1 GiR / do the math). Overall - these challenges are great teachers of course management….

Day 36 - 40 minutes of chipping and putting work at local course. All the driving ranges are still closed from our recent atmospheric river.

I've blogged about my wanderings since 2003. I love roaming throughout the USA looking for remote public golf courses to play.

Day 130 - 2025-02-07

Had two lessons canceled for weather/work, so went down in the afternoon into the early evening and got some work done on my own. GC3 didn't arrive today, blah. Borrowed Dave's for Saturday.  QM is on the way back for warranty work.

Day 17 (7 Feb 25) - Friday men’s round - a fun round (46 / 40) for an 86.  Putting was iffy and I easily gave  5 or 6 strokes to the course.  Approach game better than usual, 7 of 18 GIR despite finding myself out of position several times during the round.

Working hard on a timing issue i have on my full swing. Doing a lot of slow motion stuff in front of a mirror. Some with,  some without a club in hand.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
