Day 169 - 2025-03-18

Got downtown 3 hours before lessons, so I worked for at least 90 minutes on the golf swing with lots of breaks. Feeling good about what I need to do. Can do it all the time at slower speeds.

Day 9 (18 Mar 25) / Played 9 with my good friend Mike - was a solid head wind going out and just as solid tail wind coming in. With 7 club setup, made for thinking course management - to play into a good distance for the known yardages of the clubs in play….

Day 170 - 2025-03-19

Played 18 holes at Whispering Woods. Hit a few shots that are pretty good and what I'm looking for, but it's still early in the downswing stuff. I am annoyed by the few swings I made with a bad backswing (left wrist).

Day 10 (19 Mar 25) - Pw work in the backyard…worked on full pre-shot setup and rehearsal.  Primary focus was on getting a feel for turf interaction with the club.  The working to have the shot have a similar “feel”.  Made for much more consistent shot accuracy with short (10-30yd shots).

Day 11 (20 Mar 25) - More work with the Pw in the backyard today, focusing on the small adjustments I’ve been working to improve ball contact consistency.

Day 171 - 2025-03-20

Got a good 30 minutes in today. A little backswing so it doesn't get too far out of hand, then some downswing stuff. If I'm in a good spot at the top I have a chance even without the best downswing.

      Day 66 (15 May 26) - Played in Friday men’s shootout - solid round of 81 (39/42) 7 of the 11 pars were up and down 1 putts (29 total).  Short game came to the rescue….

      Thanks, Matt, for the AI summary.   I found the probability interesting.   It was mentioned that the host talked to a college coach, and no college coaches were knocking down his door trying to recruit him.   He was on the JV team last year, this year being the only time on varsity.

      I started taking my son with me when he was 2-1/2 but only with my regular group.  I asked before I started taking him if they were ok with it.  Everyone was ok with it and they let him ride with them often. And, they had permission to scold him if he was doing anything wrong.  I think the first time I took him and played with strangers he was almost 4.  By then, he knew golf etiquette and was very well behaved.   If the father of the kid in question here did not take proper measures to control the kid...it is not the kid's fault.  The father should know better.  Being the type of person I am, I would have probably politely said something to the kid myself and if the father was not taking care of any mess he made in bunkers I would have definitely asked "Hey, you going to rake the mess he made? How would you like to land in there and have to play your next shot from there?"

      One has to wonder what in the world could be going thru her mind standing over the ball and with each one of those take aways and not hitting the ball.  My brain would lock up completely.  If she played with the guys and gals I play with someone would inevitably yell "While we are young" (which we are not) or "just hit the damn thing"
