Day 21 (September 25).  After work, and before TNF, I spent 15 minutes in my practice room;  I again didn't do the medicine ball drill today, but I did do the two-club swing and then hit several balls, mostly my 6-iron but also a hybrid for three balls.

Day 361 - 2025-09-26

Practiced in the mirror while watching the Ryder Cup. I think I'm going to slightly strengthen my left hand grip. 🙂

Day 25 (26 Sep 25) - Friday men’s shootout…85 (45 front / 40 back) - takeaways:  too many dbls on the front (4), battled back with 4 pars and 1 bogie ; the back - solid (for me) - 6 pars, 2 bogies, 1 dbl…8 of the 10 pars were 1 putt up and downs (with two near miss chips for birdie) - that was fun watching the ball stop less than 6” from the hole pin high!  Overall - staying in the pre-shot process, accepting the shot shape of the day and difference seen in carry made for a very solid round despite the doubles…

Day 43 Sept 26

Backswing work with head, "flow" drill with downswing. Noticed i started getting out of rhythm a bit the past few days. Need more focus on getting pressure to lead side early.

Day 22 (September 26).  Played 18 today, experimenting with bag configuration (I may have taken 16 clubs, on purpose, because of trying to determine a gap issue;  I also hit multiple balls a few times).  I also hit some practice shots (with the practice routine) at home before heading out, of course.  I will probably have a post with some follow up questions soon :-)

Day 44 9-27

Hit real balls off grass today. Primary focus was better head movement. Really need to keep grinding on flow feeling in real swing and pressure shift.

Day 362 - 2025-09-27

Worked slowly, only hit foam golf balls. Backswing shorter. Downswing face stays open. No pump to overload everything.

Day 23 (September 27).  I had a few short practice sessions over the course of the day, totaling about four dozen shots (with the usual prep, same as the last few days).

Day 363 - 2025-09-28

Got some good work interspersed with some maintenance work at Golf Evolution. Manage the backswing, pour it on for the downswing. No need to over-do everything.

Day 24 (September 28).  While I have more practice to do today, I'm posting what I've done so far.  I did a Speed Sticks session late in the morning;  the second iteration with the green stick had a median of 113 mph.

I also had a 20 minute, ten-practice ball session (indoors, mostly 6-iron, a few 8-iron) session;  two-club swing, then set up and practice, step away, hit a ball, repeat.

Day 45 9-28

Hit real balls off a mat today. Worked on flow drill feeling and keeping head from moving around. I did change the focus to moving pressure to lead side in 2nd half of practice. Broke the head off my 7 iron 🙃

    • I’m going to go out on a limb and say that maybe if Jason spent less time on his clothes and more on golf he would win more.
    • So, my league starts next week, and I have a golf trip in two weeks. I am thinking no matter what I do, I will have to do my left leg and downswing turning piece. At least this turning piece helps me negate shanking the shot.  I probably shanked the foam ball about 10x in a row yesterday. Given, I was doing downswing work with not much caring about the body rotation. I was struggling to feel the same thing from two days ago. Where I was able to feel the arm piece and the turning piece working together. Yesterday, my body turn was just destroying my arms down piece.  That said, it’s not like I have a great feel for where the club is in space. Especially with how fast the downswing is. If I do the arms downswing piece with the turn piece better. I just feel those two things. Then after I am going into the finish I am like, "Oh, that was center of the clubface". I am glad the clubface found the ball. Maybe that is normal when you are trying to fix your mechanics. You are so hyper focused on the hitting the swing feel that the feel for the club is just gone.  I’ve watched YouTube videos where they talk about how correct lower-body mechanics give you the feeling of having tons of time in the downswing. I’m like, BS! there is no time. If anything, it feels faster now. 🤣 I do notice that the clubface stays more open past impact, less flippy. Not like I am trying to do that. Actually, with the downswing arm piece, I am trying to feel like I am rolling my wrist (closing the club a bit more).
    • Well, if any one cares, this has been very successful in Cricket. It is full 3D and has drastically reduced wrong calls. There are still instances that the umpire's original decision is upheld if marginal. People rolled their eyes at first but now almost everyone with it.
    • Jason Day had 1 wild Masters outfit rejected, still raising eyebrows Despite having one planned Masters outfit rejected for the 2026 event, Jason Day's apparel is still raising eyebrows at Augusta National. The pants + jacket is a bit much. I don't mind the vest. It is fine.  August is really stuffy in that way; their entire enterprise is based on image control. I am not shocked.  Don't you dare wear your hat backwards 🤣
