Day 28: About an hour long range session. Filmed for the first time in a while - clearly needs some work! Ended up focusing on alignment, as I think the more serious swing work should wait until after my trip to Wisconsin. Found out that I'm a little too closed on long clubs (especially driver) and a little too open on short clubs. Was honestly a bit frustrating as a session, but definitely improved by the end of it.

Day 25 (September 29).  Although this isn't the end of my practice day, I've already hit today's mark.   This is from my latest Skillest lesson, received this morning.  I have a major flaw where my right leg straightens, almost immediately.

My routine went as follows:  lean left with the club in my hands, then rotate/turn to get into the end of the backswing, feeling my pelvis push back.  I do this twice (checking in the mirror that is down the line from me to see), then I set up at address and try to get that same feeling (along with not overdoing it with my arms).  After I get that, I set up to a ball and take a slow swing, hitting the ball.  This takes me a little longer for one ball that when I'm in a groove, but that's a good thing, as is the odd feeling this produces.

Day 364 - 2025-09-29

Got some good work in downtown after doing some Skillest lessons. Backswing, little downswing. Just a tiny little bit of throw.

Day 46 9-28

Setup work and backswing length tonight. Hit a few foam balls.

Day 29: about 25 minutes of short game practice at the range. Worked mostly on lower chips, but mixed in a few higher shots as well. Shot chips that require some finesse are a problem. Everything else is solid.

Worked slowly before and after a few lessons (and after a morning of online lessons).

Also this marks one year since I started practicing after my thumb f***-up from August 29, 2024.

Day 28 (30 Sep 25) - skipped yesterday (well I did do some prep work on some iron reshafting that I’ve got going).   Spent a few moments today working with the wedges in the back yard - started with trail arm only then moved to both hands…looking at shortened takeaways but keeping tempo thru impact.

Day 47 9-29

Setup and backswing length. Making sure backswing doesn't get too long. Getting pressure in correct part of feet at setup. Also made sure head is still in correct spot.

Day 30: did a stack session. Worked on strengthening my right hand grip throughout the session, as that has been too weak recently.

Day 26 (September 30).  Same as yesterday;  unlike yesterday (which was WFH and had plenty of moments of "my code is compiling"), when I spent the time to hit 3-4 dozen balls (not all in one session), today was about 15 in a half hour wind-down after getting home from work.

Day 366 - 2025-10-01

Made a few dozen swings on GEARS. The good news is that I can't over-do what I need to do. Maybe eventually, but not right now.

Day 27 (October 1).  Before leaving the house to go to work, I did a speed training session with Speed Sticks (3 each stick, in order, standard only, then 3 more with green -- I should check if they have a new suggested protocol, this is what I think I was doing in 2022 when I last did this prior to a week or so ago).   I record the median of three with each stick (green twice).  Red stick (heaviest, heavier than a driver) was 102mph, while ending green was 115.

I also took 15 minutes in my practice room to hit a few balls, with my same priority piece as above.

Day 31: about an hour long range session. Started with short game. Chest up helped a lot. Not perfect, but a lot better. Then worked on long game. Checked grip, particularly in my right hand. Worked on alignment as well. Working a lot better. Contact wasn’t ideal, but not bad either. Overall, a solid session.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
