Day 1: 10/11/25

About 40 minutes on the range, which has been rare this year. Hit the ball straight but a little heavy with irons. Average swing speed with 7-iron was 89 mph, and 92 with 6-iron. Driver was 106 mph. Hit the driver the best today. Not sure what the gap between 7 and driver should be but I have read it should be 20?

Day 39 (11 Oct 25) - caught a small break today in the weather to hit a few pitches with the GW - kept it simple - low flighted and high floaters to the same finish spot simulating different green side situations.

Day 41: played 18. Improved driving the ball and short game. Iron game was below par (in a bad way). Still, fairy happy. Short game was excellent.

Day 59 10-12

Main focus was on letting upper body turn hips. Recorded dtl. Hit some real balls, did quite a few just backswings.  Can do it fine without club, put the club in my hand and it just gets out of sync. Frustrating practice.

Day 38 (October 12).  Played 18 today;  shot an 80 on the nose -- tied for my 5th best score of all time, and that's probably the toughest course I've ever had a score that low at (71.1/125/6463 -- Navy / Destroyer in Seal Beach).  11 GIR + 3 near-GIR + two holes where I needed a full swing to get the ball on the green but not for GIR.  Had putter in hand for all 18 par attempts.

Day 378 - 2025-10-13

Right hip is still bugging me from the drive home. Should be okay to swing lightly tomorrow. Which will be good because I'm going to go back to doing some slower things.

I did get work in today, but it was slow motion in the morning before editing podcasts, etc. all day.

Day 39 (October 13).  Today was a work-from home day with a lot of compile time, which led me to the adjacent room to work on my latest priority piece, which was primarily backswing length (there is also a bit of work with how I think about starting my backswing).  I had plenty of time to hit several balls, several times over the day, primarily with a 6-iron.  Many slow rehearsal backswings, checking in the mirror, and then stepping out and back and hitting a slow full swing.  Hopefully I made some progress on changing the darn picture!

Day 61 10-14

Worked on hip rotation..again 🙂 . Recorded dtl and face on. Primarily focusing on loading the right side better in the backswing. Didn't hit any balls, probably will hit a few tonight. One piece at a time.

Day 40 (October 14).  Early start and a late return made for only having the time to hit ten balls this evening, but I made them count.  Same priorities as yesterday (length of backswing was front of mind and checked in the mirror several times before each strike).

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
