Yup. And the WGC is moving to Memphis.

Now we have a hole in the schedule the week before the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach... WGC-FedEx will probably keep an August date.

What are we going to do move the Wyndham to June? So the WGC-FedEx Championship/Barracuda are the final two tourneys before the FedEx Cup playoffs?

Or do you move the Canadian Open to June? (Shane you then have a hole in July).

One way or another some tourney needs to move. At this rate, they'll probably move Barracuda to June, make it a full point event.... And call it good.

This is only tangiently related... I've heard Deutsche Bank might get axed from the playoffs. The playoffs may go to three events.

Back on topic, it's great the PGA Tour Champions are getting the chance to play courses they used to play while they were kicking butt on the Regular Tour in their primes. En-Joie (old B.C. Open) was first, then Warwick Hills(old Buick Open), now Firestone(World Series of Golf for the slightly older guys on the PGA Tour Champions, WGC for the younger guys).

It's great for them to get to kick ads on their old playgrounds. Playing pretty much the same courses they did in their primes. I highly doubt they'll make the guys on the Champions Tour play some of the holes at the lengths they are for the WGC. The 16th will probably revert to 625 yards, the 8th and 9th will probably go back to WSOG yardages. But man, these guys got to be licking their chops.

Please let this happen. Love the playoffs but this needs to happen IMO.

Back on topic: Do you guys feel that TPC Southwind will be a good venue for this switch to Memphis. Is it really a WGC caliber course?

It could be. But not 100% committed that it is now. It has the potential to be, but in my opinion, it's kind of boring.

These are my thoughts exactly.

    • Hi @RetiredOldMan!  I am glad to see you are still playing and having good scores.  I hope that when I am 79, I am not only able to play, but still able to produce as good scores as you have been doing.   I look forward to hearing more of your success and your opinion of the senior flex shafts.
    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.
