Quick question all.

I can find loads of stuff comparing distance of range vs real balls but struggling to find anything on spin.

Does anyone know how the spin (full shots) of a decent range ball compares to a mid range "real" ball?

Do they have more or less side spin etc.?

I could just hit some real balls on the range but i loathe to donate decent balls to the range ball dispenser.

Thanks guys

I don't think there is really any way to tell.

I have never seen anything on range ball spin rates. I suppose if I had to guess they might be in the same neighborhood as a cheapie 2 piece ball.

I know some range balls do fade, and draw for me. Not much, but a little. It's always the newer ones that seem to do this.

I have also hit some range balls that that did weird, acrobatic flights. Just figured they were worn out, out of round  and/or out of balance.

Interesting question... i don´t have the answer.
If i want to practice a 10 yards fade or draw and the ball have a lot less side spin than my normal ball it would be confusing when trying to play the same shot on the course.
