I wonder how I couldn't find this thread, even searching using the word "signature"... at least I found it

god, i got so sick of looking at everyones "in the bag" that i shut off the "show signature" option. so annoying. who cares??? whatever, JMHO.

I agree with you to a point, but I chose to put my signature in, because I play well, and don't use the latest greatest. It's just like in the photography forums, some people list every piece of gear right down to their brand of lens cleaner yet their pictures never improve.

Cheers, Allan

where do you guys get the images for your signature? the images that show what clubs you use, like if you have a callaway driver you'll have that logo pic... are there images on this forums somewhere or did you guys upload them yourself?

When changing/writing your signature(or posts for that matter), look to the right and click on the [More] below the smilies; maximize that window and scroll down, all of the available "logos" are there.

In my  Warbird Hot stand bag:

*LMAO* Oh Jeeze ... *sigh*

And remember folks, you aren't a "professional" photographer UNLESS you are making more than 50% of your yearly income directly from your photography (and even then I hope you have some understanding of how 'light' works)... Thanks for that as I couldn't agree more with you (becuse that B&W; UV filter just makes you LOOK bad ass, you still can't shoot worth a $hit ... ) It's not the brains in the camera/golf club ... it's the brains behind that camera or golf club that make the difference!

Would you consider shrinking some of the company logos people have in their signature? For example, the cobra logo in my signature is quite big compared to many of the other company logos. I think everyone would appreciate uniform sized signature images :D

The height is consistent - they're all about the same height. Some companies just have wider logos. I'm not sure there's much I can do about that.

I agree that some people go overkill. I enjoy seeing what body/lens combo allowed a certain person to take a certain shot, so that information is very nice. The little pieces of gear, and even flash setups, could be left out.

I also like to see what some guys are hitting with on here.

People

listing ProFoto lights need to let everyone else know that they're too good for AlienBees. People using ProFoto lights and not listing them - that's who I'd hire.

Excellent point...

Scott
I think its kind of interesting to see what everyone else is playing. That way, if you are thinking about trying a certain club or ball you could PM that person and ask them how they like it.

So I'm new and like others said, it's cool to see what everyone is playing. Also want to be part of the "cool kids club", so I'm gonna do what it takes to get the signature line.
