I find myself in bed at night trying to picture the order of holes on golf courses I've played. I can't recall # 7 at Hawk's Eye up in Northern Michigan. I should check the web site, but that's no fun.

Needless to say, I have golf on my mind a lot too!

But in the end it's still a game of golf, and if at the end of the day you can't shake hands with your opponents and still be friends, then you've missed the point. ~Payne Stewart

where is Wilson... in relation to a big city.

you sound like a kid with good head on his shoulders... with my new sticks I think of nothing but playing golf... soon I will be moving to the great state of NC (May), and even sooner I will be on vacation there for two weeks and will play some golf... I too bowhunt. What do you hunt for down there, I am from Michigan, so I come from a state that is really into hunting. I have heard NC has decent black bear and wild bore hunting... and of course some deer hunting as well. anywho... welcome to the forum.

Since StuartAustin isn't online right now, I'll take a stab at your question about Wilson -- it's is about

I mostly bowhunt Deer, turkey, and really everything. Eastern NC is the hot spot for bears. The deer here are OK depending on where your hunting. Anyway, Wilson used to be a small town, but now there is more development in our city than anywhere else I know of. Last year we got a Target, Starbucks, tons of gas stations and about 20 other stores being built up. I think we just might be getting a Dicks Sporting goods store, but yea like I said things are going up pretty fast. We also have 4 golf courses.

    • Hi @RetiredOldMan!  I am glad to see you are still playing and having good scores.  I hope that when I am 79, I am not only able to play, but still able to produce as good scores as you have been doing.   I look forward to hearing more of your success and your opinion of the senior flex shafts.
    • Hello Golfing Buddies, It has been awhile since I posted but I am the Retired Old Man that asked for advice because I suffered two "T.I.A.'s about switching from playing right handed to playing left handed.  I purchased a Callaway Edge Left handed golf clubs. I changed the grips to oversize grips.  Well, two weeks ago and still at 79 years old, I shot a 44 and 47 on a small course in my hometown.  I am currently changing my shafts from regular flex to Senior flex.  So, you can see' it can be done! So, you other old timers; get with the program! Blessings to all of you. Retired Old Man (Terry Warner)

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.
