Hey all!

I’ve been playing for 3 years and started off on a handicap of 26 while using the titleist ap2 irons and now playing off 11.9. Anything under 130 yards I’m pretty confident in getting to the green but outside of 130 yards I’m very inconsistent which is frustrating me and stopping me a lot from getting down to single figures. 

I’m curious to know if possibly changing my irons to a more forgiving and bigger sweet spot would improve my scores and get more GIR from 130 yards and onwards, or even possibly just getting those longer irons changed? 

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated 

I've been Playing Golf for: 3 years
My current handicap index or average score is:  play off 11.9
My typical ball flight is: too high 
The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Duck hook

First and foremost, welcome to TST!  

Second, its hard for any of us to know whether different clubs will help you.  The best way to get really good advice is to take video of your swing and post it here.  Go to the main page for this section:
