My daughter sprained her ankle while playing. We took her to a doctor and she is on a medication for the same. They have recommended physical therapy to increase the mobility in her injured part and restore the function. I am searching for a good physical therapy and just came across a few physical therapy clinics like

Please, suggest me some good therapy center. Thank you.

Unless there was a significant injury to a ligament or tendon (I’m assuming no fracture as X-ray was negative?) I don’t see the need for PT for such a minor issue. People of all ages ‘sprain’ ankles and rarely need anything beyond NSAIDS, ICE/Elevation and time. If there was no fracture yet the pain worsened over the next several days, can’t bear weight, then an MRI would be warranted. Doing PT without knowing what the injury is could actually worsen the situation. However, if one can bear weight and the pain is better day to day then PT simply isn’t necessary.

As a physical therapist who has practiced in orthopedics and sports medicine there is a great benefit in seeing a PT. Not only will they correct the sprain/strain, but will also look into and address any underlying conditions or issues that may be placing your daughter at a higher risk for further injuries to the lower body. They can also give you good guidance in the correct exercises for her to perform to decrease and prevent her risk in lower body injuries and overuse injuries

@Aquaguru, note the date of the original post.   I'm sure the OP's daughter is doing well by now but that was his only post on the forum.   He hasn't posted since.   Your insight is appreciated.
