Advice on Where to Play in Carlsbad, CA

Hi everyone,

I'll be out around San Diego early January (2nd - 5th), based in Carlsbad. Any advice on courses in the area (of course, there's Torrey Pines, which I'll play at least once).

Also, if anyone in the area wants to play, just let me know!

The Crossings in Carlsbad. Coronado. Barona.

High end i.e. pricey, Aviara Carlsbad, La Costa Carlsbad. Maderias Poway. 

Bargain, The Vineyard in Escondido. 

The twilight rate at Torrey is reasonable for out of towners, the North is less expensive and is the course I prefer anyways. The rough will be nasty in January, pre pga tourney.

That's a good list. I would also add Encinitas Ranch. Balboa Park might be a good option too... But I would pick Coronado over Balboa Park. Both have views of downtown San Diego.
