I just got done looking at the field for this years Desert Classic. Looks like a pretty good field but I'm always a little disappointed that more of the top players don't come out for this tournament. I miss the Bob Hope days when it seemed like all the big names came out. I remember Fred Couples winning a playoff against John Cook and of course David Duval throwing up a smooth little 59. I would assume they don't like that the scores are always go so low? Maybe not a bombers course(s)? Growing up in Ohio/Michigan I also loved watching them play golf in the desert (and actually seeing the sun). I have never been to Palm Springs but I think I need to make that trip soon.

Cleveland Wedges (gap and 60)

Wow...nobody talking about Phil's 60 yesterday? I figured that would garner some attention.

I was thinking the same thing, especially with the way he ended last season.

It should be on your bucket list, wait until spring or fall, better weather and better golf and less expensive.
Great area with many great courses.

Anyone watching or hear why Pat Perez withdrew today.
Apparently it occurred during his play on the 5th hole.

      Day 159: 6/3/24 Stack Training Full Speed Spectrum session 20/24. Diagnosed with tennis elbow today. Finished 1 mph higher than last session.

      I don't know… The TaylorMade Tiger Woods grinds were decent. I like narrow soles with a lot of bounce (lots of camber) and good heel/toe relief.

      Day 33 (3 Jun 24) - In between working on my bass guitar and its wiring issues, I was able to take the putter and roll some putts on the carpet in the shop.  Spent time with the lead arm as I usually putt with it tucked close  and then doing the lead arm chicken wing.  Interesting how the feel and pace is different.  Had seen a fellow golfer using it last week when we were playing.  Overall it was good to do an easy day of putting for pace and overall distance control from 10' in.

      Gotcha. Good to know. I'll have to test them.Any other specific models/grinds from major OEMs (not Edel) that you like and/or have a good blend of narrow sole but enough bounce? I said Non Edel just so I'd be able to test in person/have a variety of buying options
