If you can try and shoot a "down the line" video as well as a "caddy view". Down the line would be the camera pointing at the target and a caddy view would be directly in front of you if you were to look up. This will give everyone a better angle to help. But for a 13 year old who has only played for three weeks.....Great start!

Is it worth learning to putt from off of the green?
Wallstreet replied to jshots's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I'm kind of like you. Except I always use my 56 degree anywhere around the green. If I need to flop it, i open the face up. If I need to bump and run it, I put my hands forward. I don't know what it is but I am most confident with that club around the green. I have tried putting from off the green, and I just don't feel as confident as I do with my sand wedge. I will say that I do put mostly from the fringe. Unless there are some noticeable terrain issues. But I have never gotten into the 3wood from the collar or the 7 iron bump and run. I stick with my SW and it has worked for me. -
Wow are you serious? You have to defend your income on an internet forum. Please go away.

In my Wednesday league I always get a fountain coke. I don't know what it is but I seem to play better when I get one. Probably a superstition but if I do not drink one I play worse. It's only a nine hole league so water isn't an issue.

David Graham thinks equipment rules should be revisited
Wallstreet replied to TN94z's topic in Rules of Golf
From the quote I don't really get this guy's point. I see amateurs all the time with more than 14 clubs. Like someone said earlier..no one cares as long as they aren't playing for money or in a tourney. And the loft thing I don't think is an issue is it? Phil has a 64 degree. No reason to have different rules for amateurs and pros. I think one of the obsessions within golf (for some) is to use the same clubs and balls, and wear the same things as pro's. I think the club amount and technology is just fine the way it is. I don't see any problem. -
My 2-iron is definitely one of my top 2 most consistent irons. I don't know what it is. I use it off the tee when a driver is too much. I can work it left, right and hit it straight consistently well. I use it on par 5's....in the fairway as well as the rough. Its a Titleist DCI 762. I have had it since high school. "Borrowed" it from a demo station at the country club I worked at. It's still a great club.

The US Open has always been the toughest major. I don't get all the "unfair" posts. Its been like this for a long time. And the players know this more than we do. Tiger, Toms and the like are doing it right. Hitting 2 iron or 3 wood rather than driver every time. They are playing smart. Unlike others. \ I actually like seeing the pro's struggle. It makes them human. It is something different than what we see every week.

Waste of time and waste of taxpayer money. About time? IF he is found guilty or whatever this agency calls it what will we gain? His organization has raised $325 MILLION for a disease that kills millions a year. Leave the guy alone. Even if he did take PED's he has still done tons more good than bad. About time my ass.

Will Tiger Break Jack's Major Record?? (2012 Edition)
Wallstreet replied to apgolf's topic in Tour Talk
Of course I am biased. I do of course want him to do it but I also believe he will do it. I really don't think the leg injuries have much to do with his play since 2008. Yes of course he had to take time off for it but I really think its all in his head. Ever since he got caught cheating he has been an absolute mess mentally. I think he is embarrassed and its probably been in the back of his mind for the last 4 years. Once he gets a few more wins including a major he will regain his confidence and you will see that "tiger of old" is not gone. Its all in his head. The talent will always be there, he just needs to get over his bruised ego. -
Will Tiger Break Jack's Major Record?? (2012 Edition)
Wallstreet replied to apgolf's topic in Tour Talk
They aren't intimidated because they haven't played a healthy (mentally and physically) Tiger. There are a lot more talented players on tour these days. But none of them come even close to the level of play Tiger displayed between 05-08. If and when Tiger starts playing like he knows how to play you will see the Mcilroy's and Johnson's and Donald's of the world be just as intimidated as everyone was in the past. These past few years have been a slump. Nothing more, nothing less. Tiger is on his way to being back. His strength hasn't changed. He is still hitting the ball far. He still knows how to play golf better than anyone. Until you show me someone else who is dominant (because no one on tour is right now) you can't really say that there are "25" players possibly better than Tiger. That is a stretch -
65/20/15 Practice Ratios: Where to Devote Your Practice Time
Wallstreet replied to iacas's topic in Swing Thoughts
I agree with you and the OP 100%. GIR's are why I am where I am at with my game. It is a lot easier to par a hole when hitting GIR's. -
Glad to hear you are OK. My father had a really bad one a few years back. Take it easy.

Will Tiger Break Jack's Major Record?? (2012 Edition)
Wallstreet replied to apgolf's topic in Tour Talk
I think he will beat Jack's record. There are a lot of great players out their but none of them have the mental fortitude that Tiger had/still has. I think his mental strength is finally coming back. He is still the greatest talent this game has seen since Jack and I think that we will all see in the coming years that the best players in the world will be dominated once again by Tiger. -
These are collectively the worst group of "semi-pro" women golfers I have ever seen on the big break. I get that these challenges aren't full holes and they have to wait awhile for the camera crews to get in position, but this is hard to watch.
-
If you pause it there...to me it looks like you abruptly pick yourself up out of the shot. Which would mean to me that you aren't driving through the ball but picking the ball up. Just what it looks like to me.
-
It looks like you pic your head and body up too early after impact. You should drive through the ball and keep your head down and body down as well. Sorry this is a little hard to explain. Pause rory's swing at 19 seconds and you will see what I mean.
-
I would call him out immediately. I would say "are you ****ing kidding me?" as polite as I could. And if he kept on doing it I would make sure and hit when he is at the green. But in all seriousness I would talk to your league chairman about it.

Ever hit anyone (or anything living) with a golf ball?
Wallstreet replied to Mobey's topic in Golf Talk
When I was 15, just starting to play golf, my friend and I were in my front yard hitting chip shots. We were talking and I was blindly taking practice swings. He was standing a little ahead and in front of me as I was addressing the ball. As I was saying something I hit the ball and it went dead right into his temple. It knocked him out cold for a good minute but it felt like eternity. I was scared out of my mind. He came to and asked what happened. Luckily he was ok. -
yea. I would do some research on the serial numbers for the irons. I think you can call taylormade and give them the serial numbers which are normally on the hosel. Just to make sure the irons are real. The shafts, like i said before, are honestly replaceable when the price is 170
-
Gotta go with Irons. I think the shaft makes a driver and I have played with junky wedges and done just fine. Obviously there is a difference in feel between a great putter and a knock off. But I think I could get used to it before junky irons.
