46 (9 over) Short game and putts were awful!

LIV moving to 72 holes is a subtle admission that 54 holes was nothing but a joke all along.

43 (6 over) Couple bogies, couple Pars, a birdie and no doubles. Not bad for first 9 of the year.

Most the stuff I found on Instagram and just copy and mix it up. a few of my favorites: Clean>Squat>Press> March Around the body >catch >Squat> press I also hold a the kettle bell upside down with both hands on the handle. Squat when I stand back up I lift the kettlebell up over and behind my head and hold then repeat

I walk 30 mins a day on my lunch break. It is not very intense (since i dont want to get sweaty in my work clothes), so just a touch above leisurely. 3 days a week I walk on the treadmill for 60 mins. I alternate the incline from 4 to 10 for a couple minutes, once every ten minutes. I lift my kettlebells nearly everyday. I have a couple complex routines. I find just 15 minutes and my heart rates is elevated

before my home course put millions into maintenance, we had a local rule used by the league that you could improve your lie. The course has dry spots of hard clay, no grass, unfilled divots in the fairway. Since the bunkers filled with rocks and other stuff and never raked, we were allowed to lift and place. The idea was going head to head in matches I want my opponent to have the best lie and shot opportunity. I dont want to win a match because my opponents fairway shot is buried in a divot. Now that the course is well maintained we dont have to rely on that rule as much.

"Golf is often called a gentleman's game because of its emphasis on etiquette, sportsmanship, and respect for fellow players and the course. Golfers are expected to adhere to a code of conduct that includes honesty, integrity, and consideration for others on the course." it amazes me for the right number, how quickly people will forget human rights violations, compromise their integrity and virtues all in the name of "growing the sport" (which we know not to be true)

Baseball instituted the 15 second shot clock, and the players adapted. I think one of the issues is there is no clear metric for judging slow play. I have to imagine the pros are out there playing the game at their pace as they have practiced. To stop this you will need to condition the players from the beginning of their career. maybe put a Pace Ref with every group. That ref determines when fairway/green is cleared and starts a 30 second clock.

This is the best thing I have read on the internet today. Well done!

Model Local Rule Rocks and Roots (Please Let Me Know Your Thoughts)
Elmer replied to Themightyoz's topic in Rules of Golf
I get trying to limit relief to the fairway, but how many roots do you typically find in the fairway? Our local rule allows for relief from roots & rocks anywhere on the course (that is in play). My home course has quite a few 100 year old oaks that separate the fairways. Lift and move the ball no closer to the hole. None of us want to damage clubs. -
I am all for making the course much more challenging. I want to see the best golfers play the hardest courses and see who rises to the challenge. Watching a golfer will at -20 is tantamount to the NBA all star game. No defense all offense and boring as can be. YMMV

Bridgestone Mindset Ball. Something Else We Need.
Elmer replied to snapfade's topic in Balls, Carts/Bags, Apparel, Gear, Etc.
I used to write reminders and swing thoughts on a piece of paper, keep in my bag and read before and during a round. I think I read it once and forgot about it. So then I started writing cryptic reminders on my glove. But then I just stopped paying attention to that as well. I also used to put a line on my ball. But soo realized I never lined it up to align with the hole, So what was the point? -

No, that is not allowed. Markings on the ball can only be made by the manufacturer. They are the only entity to ensure the markings are accurate and the ball remains balanced! What did you think you were going to buy a $1.50 permanent marker at Target and draw some imperfect line with your shaky hand? This is the game of golf, get serious!!!!!! -
I know it is old and antiquated but I still use my Garmin S40. Tells me how far to the trap and green. Dont need much more than that!

Live Electronic Scoring, Markers, Paper Scorecards, Signatures
Elmer replied to bkuehn1952's topic in Rules of Golf
I dont know, I am all for tradition and holding people accountable for their score, however PGA needs to embrace technology. If you employer score keepers, either on each hole or centrally located with screens golfers no longer need to worry about keeping score. This means a golfer can not shave strokes. it would give tournaments a very Big Brother is Watching vibe. But from a broadcast perspective as well as keeping viewers and building a fan base, nobody wants your star golfers to get DQ'd. You need them competing. And in what other sport does a player have to keep his own score? in what other sport do we still rely on the human eye and not utilize some form of replay? Just golf apparently Even LIV has made some changes to the score keeping procedure. and I hate to admit that are doing something, somewhat right. si.com -
We have a 60 man league flighted into 6 flights of 10 golfers. Each golfer plays the golf in their flight twice, front and then 9 weeks later back. The match is a combination of match play (matching holes) and stroke play, with 2 points for each for a total of 4 week. Golfers are required to coordinate their match with their opponent. Out tee times are from 2:30 to 5. This has been negotiated by our President. Our president, who is elected to 2 year terms also works with the course regarding tee times, cost and rainouts. Our VP handles 2 tournaments, mid year and end of year. Our handicapper calculates all the match points and handicaps, Treasurer handles money and bills. All 4 officers are exempt from paying league dues, but still have to cover cost of golf. we use league tracker for flighting, schedule and handicaps. Golf League Tracker Home Manage Your Golf League Online. Track scores, handicaps, stats, standings and more. Free 4 round trial

I voted for the 16. As a high handicapper myself I routinely play rounds with golfers in the single digits. All it takes is for a bad day and a good day to show up on the same day. And really the 3 has a very low ceiling, where the 16 has a high ceiling for improvement. I would also point out that the 3 may not be a 3 over the course of the next 30 years (same can be said for the 16). But as any old person will tell you, it only takes the lingering effects of 1 good injury to change your game.

Well! He hit it well! Sorry, one of my golf relate pet peeves.

I have never been able to coordinate 3 other people and tee-times. I find it easier to just play as a single and fit in with any group of any level. I am not the worst golfer, not the best. I play quickly. I will be sociable without being over bearing. I dont talk politics or religion, and if the group does, I try to keep my opinions to myself. I will also buy drinks for the group from the cart person. And when I am done, I am gone..... I always worry when playing randoms, if they are not the ass clowns, am I?
