  1. Purchased the Garmin Approach S1 GPS watch. Used it out on the course on Friday. Yardage was extremely accurate. I liked having the GPS in a watch. It was very easy to use and even though I hadn't worn watch in the past, I didn't even notice I was wearing the S1. I liked the simplicity of this GPS.
  2. Purchased Garmin S1 GPS watch and used for the first time on the course yesterday. The yardage was spot on. I loved the simplicity and how easy it was to use. Gave me all the information I needed with yardage to the front, middle and back of the green. The watch is very comfortable. I don't usually wear a watch golfing, but did not even know I had it on except when looking down to get my yardage. By the third hole, my golf partner was asking for yardage. No hassle passing along that information with the S1. Great product. I did fair amount of research as you can see by my earlier posts and could not be happier with my purchse.
  3. Taking this one step further. I am 56 years old with slower swing speed. When does one consider moving from regular flex to graphite or even perhaps senior flex.?
  4. No question. Johnny Miller
  5. How do you happen to have two of these and have never used?
  6. This is a great read worth revisiting from time to time. The strength is course management and making good common sense decisions. I had one of best rounds of year after reading this book last year and give it another read. It helped me avoid the big blow up hole which will destroy a good round.
  7. This would be nice on the cool mornings that I often golf. I will definitely consider. Here is link to where Kaymer got his buff. http://www.blackflyoutfitters.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath;=188
  8. Chip and run depending on ratio of flight/ roll. I would be interested in hearing how everyone guages those distances and club selection. Anyone following the Rule of 12 in selecting club. 9. I have a SunMountain Speed Cart and love it. Get some exercise and pushing the cart doesn't adversely effect my game.
  10. Baddely is no longer using the Stack and Tilt.
  11. Has anyone purchased the Garmin S1? Saw a few reviews by purchasers elsewhere. I would like to hear from golfers on this forum. Right now I plan on getting S1 as soon as the snow melts and the golf courses open up in North Dakota. May be awhile with flooding predicted.

    Yardage book ?

I would think front of the green since that tells you what you need to get on. The course I play made changes recently becausing of flooding issue. The Pro said that unlikely to update the yardage book because of everyone's use of GPS and Rangefinders.
  13. Why does John Daly get a sponsor's exemption? Interest.
  14. Srixon AD333 is great 2 piece ball.
  15. Short game and not the new swing is what seems to be holding Tiger back.
  16. I am not familiar with Tommy Gainey who is leading the Waste Management Tournament. What is his background?

  18. Anyone use the Garmin G3? Has the features I am looking for. Wondering about reliability, size and best way to carry. I still am also considering the Garmin S1 Watch GPS also. I like its simplicity. More features with the G3 at not much more cost.
  19. Check out the new Cobra S3. I haven't hit them yet, but loved the S2 which I tried at demo day. The S3 has a great look.
  20. I generally leave my 3 wood out of the bag and hit my 2H.
