Hi Ace: Nice to hear from you. Always glad to see you post about the CLOWNS you encounter while playing golf....seems like New Mexico is full of YAHOO golfers.😁 How's your game? My game is getting slightly better...trying to trap the ball more on irons shots to compress the ball more and hit lower wedge shots into the green for more distance control and it's working.....though being a mental midget....my pitch and chip shots still s*ck....my practice is great...just can't bring it to the course. Had 10 GIR's in a row from 9-18 the last time out....13 total GIR's ....41/36...and 3 birdies.....but prior..... mostly scores in the low 80's. I just realized the new cap system only counts best 8 scores w/o the 0.96 multiplier.....cap only went down a bit to 8.0

As a 15.4 cap....just hit a normal pitch onto the green.....make sure to hit enough to land the ball on the green and not leave it short....hopefully the worse you'll be 20 ft past the hole. You want to make sure you get up and down in no more than 3 strokes...obviously 2 strokes is ideal. Yes, if you have the skill to flop it...then do so...again not leaving the ball short.

Was there damage?...if yes....what did the course do? Hmmm...let me guess...Shuksan? You mean...PAST course you belonged to. What a sh*tshow it was/is there....sound like more CLOWNS there vs your local Walmart.

I've attended maybe 100 or so LPGA rds of golf. They typically on any given day, dependent on how the course is set up for that day...play the course mostly about 100-150 yards shorter than the posted yardage on lpga.com of the tournament.

This is a tournament and not a casual rd....in that case...IMO...it is bad form for an opponent to walk off early and head over to the next tee. This kid...likely a teen should still know better. You're obviously upset enough to take the time to post about it...why didn't you say something to him? You are a class A PGA professional and also a Director of Instruction.....not that one requires the 2 prior credentials to speak up....but the teen should be listening to what you or others have to say about ...IMO...a lack of tournament etiquette.

OP I think those clubs are 20+ years old....IMO....not worth spending add'l money on...their value on trade in is basically nothing. Because of your limited budget.....the pandemic has increased the price of used clubs...but I think you could still find some quality used clubs for $300-$600 if you know where to look for a good deal. Your issue is trying to find a set of used clubs you like that are +1".

As I said in another thread...a loaf of bread has more personality than DLIII. Glad to hear he's back to competitive golf and a desire to spend more time with family.

It would be a bit more news worthy if Lexi played from the same men's tournament tees....which she did not. With the delay of the LPGA start...Beth Ann is struggling mightily to write any of substance with respect to women's golf.

Talk about choking, did you watch yesterday's replay of the 2018 LPGA Evian when Amy Olson gagged and doubled the 72nd hole to lose by 1 stroke. The only good thing that will come from this pandemic with future safety protocols is that those 2 French greaseballs will hopefully no longer be able to kiss the winner...there's not enough hand sanitizer in the world to wash the winner's faces...just saying.😝 Stay safe and well.

Hi Ace" Huh...are you spending all your husband's money again....you're a GOOD wife to do so...😝😝 So what new driver did you buy?....I thought you were happy with your 440 cc M5?...how many degrees and what shaft is your driver? Another huh...why a 14* (although adjustable) TM SIM Rocket FW....when would you hit it?.....if off the deck....I'm not playing skins against you.......you must have great technique and club head speed to generate the speed/power to hit 14* off the deck.....I have been playing a 4W but I don't love playing it...IMO.....a FW off the deck to 'pure it' is one of the tougher shots in golf......did you order the stock shaft in regular? Ya.....it's tough not to be a mental midget....at the beginning in June, I had 2 back to back rds......37/46 and 44/37....DUH. Although I scored well my last rd....my game has only been so so...my cap still remains at 8.3.....I'd like to get it to 7 where I've normally played. Back in Feb/Mar....I was able to demo the Mavrik in a sim along with the other top OEM drivers.....every now and again I'd get longer results when I absolutely smashed it. I was able to try out my friend's Sub-Zero Mavrik 9* (lofted to 11* D) with a 76 gm 6.0 PX Hzardous shaft....these specs are normally too stout for me....launching the ball low...but now that the courses here have finally dried out....the ball would roll out quite a bit more than M3...sometimes 15-20 yds and 40 yards when I didn't quite nail my M3. I've lost a bit of distance with the M3 this year...yet back in August last year when I bought it....I hit it in spots on the course I've never been before. I think the regular Mavrik and especially the Sub-Zero Mavrik is a low spinning head....the Hzardous shaft is also low spinning with fairly low torque.

Good to hear Padden's conditions have improved. I rarely/never hit golf balls before playing....did a Google map and now see the range and now remember it.....has the old range cover on a few stalls been updated....I think it was quite old. Has Padden updated/renovated the pro shop/clubhouse?

Lummi Indian Band?....I knew Loomis was sold...but didn't know the buyer. I love the courses in Bellingham....I believe I've played all the courses in the area worth playing....but haven't crossed the border to play much anymore. The course I want to play is Bellingham G&CC. I saw you wrote previously your course was easy to walk so I thought you went over the Avalon and it's close to Eaglemont. I've always walked Lake Padden.....it does have some elevation changes.....I haven't played there since 2002...I really like the course...but thought the conditions could be a bit better...have conditions improved? Is LP not busy?...especially during the pandemic?...why the really cheap promos?...even on the weekend??? Bellingham Washington - Public Golf Course - Lake Padden Golf Course The 5 muni's of Vancouver and Burnaby are sold out from 6am to 7pm+ everyday....green fees $45 to $75....no promos. I believe there is no range at LP...so how do you teach there?

@Double Mocha Man saw your post before the other thread was locked down. Not surprised that 3 courses are and might close....IMO...the area is over built based on the population.....based on the border closing Homestead must be hurting....especially considering Do you think Loomis can survive?....what about other courses? I can't think of a full length course here in the GVRD that has closed.....though a few want to be re-zoned so the owners can sell the course. @phillyk do you work at Avalon?...now that Eaglemont has closed.

I manually track my cap and stats. To me...the most important is GIR...which kinda dictates if I have a good rd....though I have had some rds of 4 or 5 GIR's and shot in the high 70's...I'm a POSER. I also track 3 jacks, total putts, scrambling (though it ALWAYS suck) and birdies.....I also track the date played, which course, $ green fee and skins won or lost.

Just say it. SHUKSAN I haven't played Shuksan in 20 years....my wife use to always b*tch that I wouldn't rent a cart because I'm a cheap a**.....I always said the walk/climb is good for your heart. But all my savings flew out the window at Bellis Fair Mall.😝 Please PM the 3 courses.....inquiring minds want to know.

I have been playing my dad's 1970 Ping Anser for approx. 40 years...and I've experimented with other putters but they can't permanently knock the Ping out of the bag. I got a great deal in January on a used mint Huntington Beach #1 putter for $55 Cdn....I love the soft feel of the milled face....but can't get use to the heavier head vs. the Ping.....I get more distance control from lagging putts with the Ping.

This. But I do like the feel and performance of a premium urethane golf ball. But....if you dropped a ProV1 and Pinnacle down and ask me to hit a PW or another iron to a pin....there's a 50% chance I might hit the Pinnacle closer to the pin.
