  1. We play every weekend at least one round, plus a few on vacations, holidays or when ever we can fit one in, I would say this year 70-75 +/-? One thing different this year from last was, we put in quite a few 9 hole rounds. This year we have played 3, 1 with Lihu and son and 2 due to slow play and walked off the course. My son on the other hand will have well over 100 with him being on the HS team. Lucky kid gets to play at all the country clubs in our area, with there home course being Friendly Hills CC. He did say that maybe once him and his sister are gone that maybe I could afford to join a country club, nice son!
  2. I saw this last night to, and thought how great it was for this guy to follow a dream. Like so may that get caught up in life, paying bills, buying food and never get to try a long shot, he is. Now he can say what ever the out come he gave it his best no regrets. Sure anyone with a low HCP can try out but not everyone did, he did. I agree why overanalyze this guy just wish him good luck.
  3. I put, I usually score much worse. The last 6 months we have played so many different courses, some have just kicked my a?? and my score takes a hit. When I go back to one of our home courses that I know every shot, green what to expect my score is much lower. Bummer being a bogey golfer.
  4. Hey Lihu have fun tomorrow will see you all at the range later in the evening to hear all about it.
  5. Thanks mvmac for all the very cool pictures must of been so cool to see the inner workings at Ping.
  6. Nice to be humble, but you got one and for all us who have not it will be just as sweet if or when it happens!
  7. Congratulations, that is so cool I hope you have a great picture of you at least by the pin with your ball in hand or something. I have never seen one other then on TV...
  8. I have played the G25's for about a year what I found was they are very light, very balanced, but for me a bit more difficult to get a good launch. They seem to be more of a line drive when not struck just right, there are others on this site that seem to have the issue with them. I wish I had tried others out there and not wait so long to switch them out, again JMO. X2 Hots seem very easy to hit and long, one thing about them they have a sound that some like, others don't. I have had only played a few rounds using them but really liked how easy they were to hit even on miss-struck shots. Cobra Bio Cell both myself and my son have played them for about 5 rounds, easy to hit, easy to launch nice sound, want to go straight but I have my doubts they are as long as the X2 Hots. I say this due to not having hit them side by side, but the few rounds I did play X2 Hots they seemed longer then the Bio Cells? I think it really come down to what you like, how they feel, the sound they make and how they look at address. All this is MO of course and would suggest you go try every brand, narrow it down to a few and go from there. I have also seen a ton of all the brands in the used/demo section at Rodger Dunn in the Santa Anna store so if you are planning to buy used check that store out a lot of good deals right now.
  9. You guys at Foursome Golf set a standard for how things should be done when you are able to do it. To bad there are not more like you all.
  10. Who cares I think more ranges should be bikini optional!
  11. It has a power on and it turns its self off, but I think it is we expect it to be instant and it does not have time to lock on maybe? We wait a second or two and it is ready, I don't really have an answer other then it happens every so often and it happened on the GX3I also. But as I said I would buy it again, my father in law has a Bushnell with slope I still would buy a GX3i2 even though it is a bit more money.
  12. I have this and have been very please with it, I really like the scan mode on it, it is supper fast. The red site is great even when the sun is really bright. Both myself and my son use it, he plays for the HS so it has had a lot of use and would buy again if needed. Two things with this unit not a big deal but. 1. Every once in a while it locks up if you are in a hurry it take a few seconds to reset, I think it is due to not letting it power up and expecting it just start. I had the same issue with the previous model so I know it is not an issue with the unit it self. 2. I wish the case was a little better for the price I would think it would come with a more sturdy one. Both are not a deal breaker, great unit I am sure you will enjoy.
  13. Guys, These are used as you can see they are my sons, we got them last year, still seem to be in really good shape. The grips were put on prior to the HS season starting and have two wraps on them. I can ship them if needed, taking best offer plus you pay shipping, I will get the cost and add it to the price If any one is interested PM me Thanks
  14. Heading to Hunting Beach to the in laws, the pier has some great FW. A Happy and Safe 4th to all on TST.
  15. Very interested in the irons cant wait to check them out.
  16. This stuff is great did a lot of back packing with my sons Boy Scout troop and used this. Never once had an issue they make it in the size of a 1/4 of a stick of deodorant so you could keep it in you bag.
  17. I love to watch Wie play, she is a compete package, tall, sexy, smart, she brings some fun to the LPGA. The best thing she could have done was get her education, if her golf carrier was to ever end, a Stanford Education will always be there for her, that to me shows how smart she was/is to go back to school. Plus if you look at all the Colleges, Stanford has the highest ROI of any school according to Forbes money. At a Glance Student Population: 19,945 Undergraduate Population: 6,988 Student to Faculty Ratio a : 12 Total Annual Cost c : $58,846 In-State Tuition c : $42,225 Out-of-State Tuition c : $42,225 Percent on Financial Aid d : 72.0% Percent Admitted e : 7.0% SAT Composite Range f : 1380-1570 Forbes Financial Grade: A+ Forbes Lists #1 Overall #1 in Private Colleges #1 in Research Universities #1 in the West .
  18. I voted yes, after this last Sat playing with Lihu and feeling like I had a target on my back on the 18th with the group hitting up on us, I am all for finding away to move everyone in a faster pace. All I see now are people getting much more angry due to the pace on a busy Sat afternoon. Next will be road rage on the fairways, a bit surprised some one has not been really hurt at this point.
  19. I got my own, but to be honest he does not like Mizuno irons, all is in the eyes of the beholder.
  20. I would agree if he was not so young and only getting better and stronger all the time. Plus the monitor puts him borderline, so will error on side of a stiff shaft. That was with every brand he was hitting, (he hit all of them). Plus we have moved everything to a SS at this point, it was the last piece. Of course he has 90 days to play so will see how it goes. To be young again.
  21. I played my first round Sunday with them, I have to say I was very happy with how they performed. Love the hybrids, supper easy to hit, so for me I made a good decision with them I feel at this point. My son has them in reg flex but has placed an order to switch them out for stiff to get his ball flight down a little, he was killing it with them Sunday. I don't want to say money it not an issue, but I would have paid a $1000 if I felt I would have an iron that hit better or felt better. I still feel that all the GI irons are so close now that any set you get as long as you like the performance, feel and look you cant go wrong. Hope you enjoy them.
  22. Happy you liked them, to me they are a sleeper iron. No one really goes in to try them but all I have read and everyone that does give them a try have liked them.
  23. Mike has gone very quite so I can only assume the inn is full.
  24. Ha-ha I really did not know you were so funny, but if we all want to stay there were in.
