Great final round for Xander! Open Champion.

Tragic. I can only imagine how the family must feel. There was a prominent lady golfer in my home town that won the State Am several times, coached the men's Jr College team and who was simply well thought of around here. Same thing.....battled depression and took her own life. Happened during COVID. For us that have never experienced serious depression it can be hard to understand. But it's a serious problem and happens too frequently.

I guess I missed it but what did he do with respect to getting a 2nd degree charge against a police officer?

The wind was some kind of bad this afternoon. Tiger at +1 looks pretty good at the half way point. Going to be a fun weekend.
-
Yes. I'm surprised after how he seemed to be struggling early. Of course it warmed up since early this morning so that probably helped him. I'm sure he will be sore tonight.
-
Tiger looks like he is hurting this morning which is not surprising. You knew a split round would not be good for him. Going to be a big challenge to get through the day.

First time I saw the course I thought a couple of holes were surprising. But I agree....I don't think it's crazy extreme for walking. But as a golfer I would have no chance on those uneven lies and tight fairways. But I'm a hacker compared to these guys and I'm almost 70. No sugar coating that number. 😐

Just saw a highlight of his on TGC and he hit a nice hackers shank. Looks like he has a lot of work to do. I don't watch LIV but does Bubba hang near the bottom in most tournaments? I haven't heard his name mentioned in a couple of years.

Impressive. She can hold her head high.

Can't stand music playing in the background. So I didn't watch much at all.

Dark day for the PGAT. I look forward to hearing from Tiger, Rory and the other big names that stuck with the tour and turned down LIV's money.

Shot 74 today with 2 birdies. Missed 2 birds from 4 ft. Monday shot even 72 with 3 birdies. Both from the senior tees as I'm 68. But hitting the ball as well as anytime in my life..... only much shorter. Plus the fairways are really soft due to lots of rain. But my chipping is saving me a lot. I probably need to quit while I'm ahead.

Hope the money is worth it because they're simply stooges for a rogue regime.

He had a great swing. I always felt sorry for him coming up a little short in many of the majors. But he had a career many would love to have. RIP

College football is going into the crapper with NIL money and free agency..... now pro golf. I know the PGAT has to do something to combat the Saudis but all these proposed changes are a big negative for me. I'm probably in the minority but I will be watching very little golf other than some true amateur events.

I hadn't planned to watch but McCord certainly closes the door for me. Ha

Shot 78 today with no birdies. Pretty pleased with it as it was cold and windy here in Mississippi. Very similar to what they were dealing with at Augusta. Of course the golf course I played was not quite up to their standards. Ha.
-
I wonder how Tiger feels the day after a practice round at Augusta? Still have my doubts he plays but good to see he is feeling well enough to walk a round there. Hopefully he can.

Fortunately I live on a golf course and have my own electric cart. So no changes in my frequency of playing.

I admit I never cared for him early on but there is no denying his unbelievable talent and impact he made on the game. I'm pulling for him in his attempt to lead a healthy life and hopefully one more comeback on the tour even if it ends up being a limited schedule as he has suggested. Winning any tournament at this point would be an amazing story.

Wouldn't it be funny if the SGL tells Phil to take a hike and the PGA tour the same. Losses all his sponsors as well.

Congrats to Schauffele! May not be a major but it ranks high on the list of a golfers resume. It does with me anyway.....

Had a birdie lip out on the final hole yesterday which would have given me a 67 and equal my age. But 68 is only the 2nd time I've ever shot that so pretty happy anyway. Golf is a crazy game. Last week I played 3 rounds and only had 1 birdie total. This week after 3 rounds I've had 15 birdies. Playing from the senior tees of course but this is the best golf I have played at anytime in my life and I have been at for over 50 years. Maybe it's time to retire. Ha.

What a round by the 17 y/o amateur. She sounded so mature in her interview too. Would love to see her keep up the good play.

Great win for the old guys! Although Phil is young compared to me.
