thinking of getting new irons...
Lange replied to TMburner09's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I'd say go with the 52's.. my humble opinion but it will make your striking skill go easier -
Could be your dipping with your knee bend on one swing, then your so focused on trying to not duff that you keep your knees very straight and upright causing you to go over the ball. Your arms and elbows can also play a huge factor in this. Some say copying your backswing pattern is a way to go when your first starting but i'd have to disagree there are quite a few differences.
-
Sure there's many ways you can approach this problem, from my experience and a little tip from a tiger wood's book i read... play the club u favour the most, bring you the most confidence, of course it has to be within the range of the par 3 length. Your tatic is fairly good, try relaxing your swing for the par 3's but use the club u would normally use to reach the green.

Love the spin milled, after playing 45 holes i had two chip ins and of course i didn't use it every hole lol

Why do you figure your slicing? There could be several reasons why such as out to in swing pattern, or bending your elbows to much, or just hitting off the toe etc. A video would help alot, but as for something like going closer to the ball probably won't make a difference. Make sure your arms stay generally straight. But if your not going far enough right to call it a "slice" then you should be alright for the time being, just play with it until you've figured out how to solve it at the range.

Would you tell your partner????????

Funny that this was brought up, my dad got an almost full set and bag of counterfiet taylormade r7's from china. There nowhere near the real thing but he isn't a strong nor common golfer so he didn't care, but still it wasn't worth $500 for it all..... he could of got something way better, but refused to take my advice. I left it alone and that's my dad not just any playing partner. So your best bet is not care at all or mention it once and then drop it. -
Shot a 12 on the par 4 8th hole of my old course, same one dent was talking about, not a tournament round though just a bad day lol. Back when i had a major slice problem, and with a strong dog leg right i was always in trouble.

Dent from what i can remember, didn't u used to have a constant fade with your irons? Or im i just clueless lol

This Whole month i've shot down my handicap from a 15.2 to now my current 12.9. I don't understand where this sudden break through has rose from my play has gotten so much more consistant, and my approach has gotten to a brand new best! I feel like im finally seeing my true potential to golf, and with a few new things added to my game (tips from others, practicing swing in the backyard etc.) i've really took my game to a new level just in this month. What im getting to is, are any of you going through this? Or have you ever had this? Was it all of your clubs that became suddenly more consistant or just a few?

Those Rapture V2's look awsome! Wish i had the money for a set of them -
I pulled out a old 58* golfco baron from the throw away clubs at my old CC. Sure i hate it for chipping and never use it now lol, but i still do for sand shots and she still pulls through. The memories with it lol i tried coloring it with marker didn't last to long.

I odn't think it takes to much effort to sit down and watch a baseball game, but ya lol maybe he's thinking MLB next

This breifly happened to me on my last round with my 8 iron, try choking down a bit, it gives you that extra control to connect square with the ball.

Win me a prize!! Big money Big money no whammy... STOP! jk, sounds like a awsome job enjoy your golf sir
-
I'd pass on those tees, don't look that great for use, prob flare out and bend like nothing. Not dissing them or anything just doesn't look like a good tee to me... maybes that's because im so satisfied with the zero friction tees lol. Good luck with em and btw what's fay??? sry if that seems like a dumb question

The higher degree on teh driver the higher trojectory you will get, the lower the degree the lower trojectory. So if you find you hit your drives really high you should consider getting a lower degree driver like the 9.5 u just bought, and opposite for if you shoot a high ball. Being new to the game putter isn't to big of a deal, but if the putter is older then you then it definately wouldn't hurt to get a new one, this is probably the only club i would consider buying at a high price for a beginner as it does help and minimizes bounce etc. on the greens greatly. It helped me a ton. For a bag just anything light, with a decent amount of dividers so your clubs don't cling and clank. Having a big pocket or two as well helps greatly! If you find a bag just make sure you know you would be able to organize your stuff easily, otherwise don't bother with it.

Enjoy the new putter!

Not a bad looking bag, but the wheels look like total cheepies, i don't think they would do to well on gravel cart paths even. Just would bump around and everything. I think your better off getting one of them remote control pull carts that move by themselves, i've seen quite a few of those and to be honest it looks like the greatest thing alive. Imagine not having to carry your bag ever on the course. There very easy to steer as well and are very quite!

Soap and water with a scrub brush at home... while on the course towel and doubled sided brush (one side is wire brush other is this softer stuff lol)

I don't think anyone should have to worry about it, but want to be able to improve by keeping there score to see what they could use most improvement in. I've never took lessons in my life, as i like learning on my own (I feel more accomplished) but on the other hand im always up for taking tips and learning tricks from others players. I love watching PGA players swings, and trying to mimic to the best i can. Golf channel is another favourite of mine where i pick up ideas for golf techniques. I believe this way or taking lessons is the way begginers should take there start to golf, rather then looking at the same high score card each time and being so hard on themselves. It makes golf a lot more enjoyable and makes the challenge of the game become fun.

Most 'workable' 460cc current Driver?
Lange replied to mikelaw's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I like my R7 TP alot, it works real well for me, though i'm not exactly a perfectionist on workability but im there is great potential with it. -
Hitting down by aiming forward of the ball?
Lange replied to dr_faustus's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
This sounds like a good way to go, i'm having a horrifying time with my high irons 3 and 4 iron that is. I might give this a try because i'm always duffing the ball alot with them or closing the blade big time. And i know it's because i don't know how to set up my body stance with those long clubs. I also swing way to fast. -
I unno if it's exactly the greatest idea of getting a new putter over confidence issues all the time, but if the feel of it is gone for you i would suggest a Yes! from my own experience. I don't like the feel of many of the Yes! putters but the tracy II and the tiffany are the ones i really like. As for those big mallet putters im not so much a big fan. Tiffany though was an exception, but its not to to big anyways. C-Groove definately works great

Shot an all new best score for me yesterday at my local course. Shot an 80! (a 8.5 handicap) the course from the mids is 70.7 rating with 123 slope. I had 12 pars a definate record for myself and 8 of them were 1 putts anywhere from 8 feet and in. Putting was dialed right in best game of my life so far! started on the back nine and was 3 over, then on the front i was 5 over.
