  2. If he grossed 1$ billion it would have to be reduced by a significant amount of business & professional expenses and of course taxes. If his divorce was in PA, Elin would be entitled to a property settlement, child support and possibly alimony. Don't know of all of these items were covered in a prenup. Tiger Woods is both a business and a celebrity so the property settlement could include his trademarked name and his celebrity value. The prenup probably covers these things. I hope 2011 turns out to be a record breaking year for him. I enjoy watching him play golf.
  3. I'm an armchair student of psychology so I think the first problem is not golf but dealing with the loss of sight in your right eye. An important question is when did it happened? My advice is to forget about score and only play practice rounds or if it's too early for that, just go to the driving range for a while. It's very possible that another aspect of the game will improve with time; i.e. feel, better perception of your swing path, etc. Give it time and don't pressure yourself.
  4. I was wondering the same. Here's the Wiki on Quail Hollow> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quail_Hollow_Championship
  5. Since I restarted playing last year I can only comment on the Callaway Diablo. They are easy I can't believe it's me hitting the ball (as compared to my old McGregor Persimmons). Now that Callaway has come out with the Diablo Edge, the old Diablo has been reduced in price. http://www.golfgalaxy.com/galaxy/sea...Q7D3UKKV8LCPKC
  6. This topic is covered in Golf Magazine's "The Best Instruction Book Ever!" I don't have it handy right now, but it cited a study which revealed that the experimental group (looking at the hole) got closer the the hole on long putts of about 25 feet or more than the control group (looking at the ball). If anyone's interested, I can scan and post the pages from the book on this thread.
  7. I remember them from way back in the 80's. Didn't know they were still around.
  8. Yesterday there was a video of him practising. It was on CNN but now I can't find it. Anyway, it was nice to hear many of the fans cheering him. I think he is going to be very well and more received as the week goes on. That's the way it should be. This is about golf. Everything else, IMO, is irrelevant.
  9. I'm curious about what clubs you are using now. Otherwise, I suggest you use the MPs once in a while, read up on grip care http://www.lamkingrips.com/Grip_Care.php , and don't expose the clubs to extreme temps.
  10. The golf channel has the video of her grounding her club: http://www.thegolfchannel.com/golf-v...26000&rsec;=210
  11. She attended an elite college prep school: Punahou School. Obama also graduated from Punahou. Here's the Wiki on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punahou_School
  12. CBS expects Tiger's return to be among biggest events of decade http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...ods/index.html
  13. This is great news and it all makes sense. Augusta is all about golf and that's the way it should be. I just want to watch him play golf and don't care about anything else.
  14. I had a similar experience with Dick's and I understand how you feel. My take on your situation is that there were (almost) 3 parties at fault: the manufacturer, the GG store; and, GG corporate. In my case with Dick's I got screwed out of $30 in shipping charges. I also had a similar experience with a local driving range on a special order. Going forward (based on my personal experience) I would never special order a club or major purchase from any big box store without getting a receipt with the stipulation that the order is null and void if the delivery was later than promised. I get mental on these issues also. I don't think I would special order anything from anyone except direct from Callaway. Anyway, I feel your aggravation.
  15. Just want to thank Chilli Dipper for those 2 videos. Very helpful.
  16. I get the impression that GG staff are shy on giving advice but that seems like a resonable practice; don't want to promote one brand over another or provide non professional opinions. After all, it is a big box chain; compare Home Depot to Ace Hardware. I live close to two locations and have had only good experiences at each store. I am curious about the OP's complaint.
  17. Here's another thought or question. Would having a 4i in the set make it more marketable if you were to sell or trade the set?
  18. Well said. In spite of my handicap now, I am very comfortable with a 3i. But IMO, the OP is making an investment in a fine set of clubs and I think at least a 4i should be included in that investment. Taking a long view, think about trade in value or gifting such a fine set of clubs. A classic set of clubs should include a 3i to a PW.
  19. You are buying a nice set of clubs so I say better safe than sorry; I'd get the 4 iron. With the set, you may enjoy the 4i.
  20. At Golf Galaxy, Taylor Made Burner and Callaway Dialblo are $19.99 and Maxfli Vt4 balls are on sale for $9.97. Although above the $19.99 price limit for this thread, the Taylor Made TP Blacks are selling for $29.99. I had a GG $10.00 reward coupon so they only cost me $19.99. I never played them so dose anyone have an opinion on the MaxFli VT4? $9.99 per dozen seems like a sweet deal.
  21. If available in Norway, try Goldtoe. Here's the page for their athletic sox: http://www.goldtoe.com/store/mensathletic.html
  22. Great review Kevin. Thanks for the effort. I'm considering buying the Diablo hybrid, but I've yet to demo one.
  23. If I had a pen and something to write on, "may I have you autograph?"

    Would You?

Yipes. So much anger about a 16 yr old saying what he said (it's been repeated too many times). Is it not better to try to understand someone's perspective and then suggest or explain ethics. Too many people are throwing stones and that's no way to give advice. Is there a psychologist in the house?????????

    Would You?

Considering you would return it if you had contact information or the club house reported a missing when you made an inquiry, I think calling you a theif is a bit too harsh. But you did say you "usually" call the club house and I think you should always call the club house. Kindly note that the standards of ethics are higher on the golf course than off. Once you call the club house and declare you have the club you are in the clear. I'm assuming you do not want to give it to the clubhouse because if no one asks for it, then it would be given to or taken by someone who had less right to it than you. I don't think comparing it to finding money is a good analogy, though. I'm not a lawyer, and I'm not up on lost & found issues, but I think if you found an abandoned boat on the water, you legally own it. That may be true with finding finding a case of money and reporting it to the police (if no one claimed it after a certain period of time. Getting back to the golf course, the next time you find a club, ask them if you can keep it if no one claims it. At the very least, please report to the club house exactly what you found every time you find a club. One anecdote and I'll get off the stump: At my regular bank's ATM I tried to withdraw $60 and got 6 hundred $ bills instead of 6 20 $ bills. Knowing a teller responsible for the ATM would be responsible for the mistake, I went inside and asked to see the manager who was not there at the time. So I asked for the head teller and the gal said she was the head teller. I told her what happened and that in return for the $600 I wanted my $60 (my account was charged for the $60) and a receipt showing I had returned the $600. For all I knew, I was probably taped while using the ATM. That head teller who was not very friendly to begin with, did not even have the where with all to say "thank you." I was a regular at that bank. That was five years ago and I'm still pissed. Not because I returned the money, (I'd do it again) but because I did not write a letter to the bank complaining about the head teller's attitude and to request a simple "thank you." Sorry for the rant guys.
