  1. I have the 56* SW and I like it. I won't lie to you, I have not tried anything else so I probably don't know if I am missing anything, but it's pretty good for the money. I am getting a 60* MPT10 this summer. Can't wait!!
  2. They're available only in Europe. I have a friend who got a 50* one but didn't like it. I won't take his opinion for granted though, he's a 14 years old kid and his complaint was that "it wasn't long".
  3. Excellent shop. Actually it's the only place I put my orders on and feel totally safe and satisfied. Spent over $1500 at their site over the last year, and will spend more this summer. (If only they carry MP T-10 wedges!!) The only let down is that they don't carry everything you're looking for like Golfsmith or Edwin Watts. They have a huge inventory but not everything you can think about. You just buy what suits you from their inventory.
  4. By sending them back you are contributing to ripping off someone else.
  5. Looks hideous. The only good looking PING irons are the new Anser forged.
  6. Don't send him the clubs back. He will sell them to another person and you can't guarantee that other person will discover they're fakes. Just keep them, it's your right. They can remain as an emergency set or when someone's visiting.
  7. PS: Why was the thread's name changed?? God, can't the mods on this forum keep anything like it is without changing it? Why do they always have to make us feel like we can't do a thing and they have to do it for us, even the slightest and easiest of things. What difference does it make to have the thread title "My swing (Golfaway)" than my original "Latest Swing Videos".....
  8. So what exactly can I do to stop swinging over the top? And what do you mean by "pull"? you mean going to the left?? I thought over the top resulted in a slice.
  9. It was a straight perfect shot right down the fairway. Not a trace of slice.
  10. Nope, no slice. It was a good straight shot. I know it looks like I came over the top but it wasn't. I fall forward because of a previous left foot injury. I cannot get myself to remain stable on my left foot. Actually it was much worse but it's improving with time.
  11. I am trying to stay slow on the back swing as much as I can, also trying to have an in-to-out swing plane opposed to my out-to-out that sometimes causes shanks and slices. Had a pretty good range session yesterday.
  12. All X series irons are the same. Same clubs with different decals (and paint job in case of the 24's). I have a set of X14s and they're almost identical to the X22s.
  13. Par 5 13th, had a great drive, followed it by a great 3 hybrid to within 100-120 yards of the green, back pin placement. Hit a PW that started a little bit to the left of the flag and turned to the right. Hits the green a few feet left of the flag, gets a lucky bounce to the right and ends up one inch from the cup for a tap-in birdie. That was a net score of double eagle for the hole as I had 2 strokes for that hole (stableford match).
  14. I use a PING putter and I swear by it.
  15. 2 for me. But one time I had a third, but it was counted a 5 on the score card because I had OB'd my first tee shot.
  16. MX-200, they're cheaper and I think available in left hand.
  17. Not a big deal, just find him a 7 iron and give it to him, he'll be happy, you'll be happy life is good. I used to know a guy who sometimes played golf with me and who'd borrow clubs every other hole. Most of the time he does not even bring his bag and just shares a bag with another friend the whole round, it's crazily annoying!!!
  18. It is a private club and both of us are members. He's not a random guy too. He's a regular at our club and I've known him before. Actually he used to teach English at my school. First time I played with him though, and hope it's the last. I think I did the best. I just infuriated him and forced him to play like crap and quit all while keeping a wide grin on my mouth and never getting angry. And he doesn't know a thing about etiquette; when he quit, he went to our 3rd partner (we were 3) and gave him my scorecard (he was my marker) and shook hands with him, but he didn't even care to tell me he's quitting let alone shake hands. Such a jerk he is.
  19. Just yesterday I was playing with a British guy, a 10 handicapper. On the first hole I was hitting a chip shot around the green, but I topped it and it rolled across the green and went over OB. I thought it could still be in play so I went across the green to check it but I found it OB. So I went back to play another one. I know I should have played a provisional before going to check it, but the ball wasn't that fast and I thought it was probably still in play but unfortunately it was not. Anyway, when we finished the hole he told me "you should have played a provisional faster than that", I said OK, sorry. On the 4th green, our balls were at opposite sides of the pin but I wasn't sure if it was mine or his farther, so I went up and asked him if it was me or him, he said "Hey, either play it or mark it. Don't stand there doing nothing". Again I said OK and marked it. On the 5th tee, I hit my drive but sliced it to the right and I though it was most probably OB. So I picked up another ball and put it on the tee. I was still going to say I'll play a provisional when he said "What are you doing? Is this a provisional?" I said yes, he said "You have to say you're playing a provisional". Now I was getting pissed. He wasn't being advising or caring, it was obvious from his tone he was just being pissed as he was playing like crap and was venting off his anger at me. I really wanted to get back on him. On the 5th green, our balls were again at opposite ends of the pin at almost the same distance. So I told him "hey, mark your ball I want to play", he then started bluffing about how rushing I was. He marked his ball, then looked at both balls, then realized his was maybe an inch farther so he said "No actually you're the one whose gonna mark his ball. If you don't know the bloody rules don't tell me what to do". I stuck a wide grin on my face and told him Oh OK. He then made the putt and missed it, then I made my putt and sunk it for a birdie (a bogie unfortunately counting the OB). By that time he was really angry and started to curse under his breath. We went up to the 6th tee and he made a big shank to the right, I had an excellent drive. He then went to play from the forest, hit the ball in a tree and it almost bumped back in his face. He threw his club on the ground and quit the game cursing and shouting. That was one of the most annoying playing partners ever.
  20. Man that was so satisfying. The par 5 13th, had a great drive, followed it by a great 3 hybrid to within 100-120 yards of the green, back pin placement. Other noticeable moments of the day: a birdie on the par 4 8th with a 10 footer (net eagle) and another birdie with a 7 footer on the par 4 5th for a bogie as I had already lost my first drive to the right OB. A par on the 18th, a couple triples and doubles and the rest bogies. Finished 4th with a total of 39 stableford points and my handicap dropped from 28 to 27. Also qualified to play in the Peugeot challenge next week.
  21. I think Golfsmith has the new Mizuno Swing DNA shaft optimizer thing. It should be good for what you need.
  22. This was friggin awesome. I'd pay to see that!
  23. 1 Hybrid if you want my opinion. Much easier.
  24. Just grab a putter, buy it, and live with it. It's all in the mind believe me. I got my PING G5i online without even trying it once, and I fell in love with it. Great putter, great looking, great balance and weighting, great feel from the insert. I wouldn't trade it for anything. Forgot to say, I used to put like crap with it until I figured out it was me not the putter. I changed the way I grip it and my putting stroke and the results were amazing.
  25. Have them. Good clubs specially the hybrids and the short irons. The mid irons are not so good though, don't like them that much.
