  1. Hey - what about us out here in Cali? Funny that the OP had said the season was early or about to start. Other than a couple of rainy days two weeks ago we have been playing year round. I played last weekend (Sat & Sun) at 7 am and was wearing shorts and a polo shirt. If anyone is in the Los Angeles area lets make this happen!
  2. Here's the link to Scratch Golf mentioned above. This should help identify your needs. http://scratchgolf.com/custom-fittin...-fitting-tool/
  3. More information regarding grip size can be found here. http://www.golfgrips-direct.com/acat...ip_Sizing.html
  4. $250 at the Plantation Course but normally I pay $26 at my Muni course.
  5. Have you all seen these irons? This is an iron from TM that I could get behind and put in play but I haven't seen them in the US yet. Anyone had a chance to play these yet? http://www.tourspecgolf.com/images/r9tpforgedlarge.jpg
  6. I'm not brand biased at all... I have a Titleist driver and 3 wood, an Adams Pro Black hybrid, Mizuno irons, Vokey wedges and a Yes putter. Oh and I play a TM ball now. A little different than my signature but still, if I'm loyal to any one product it would be my Mizuno irons.
  7. 1. Kapalua / Plantation http://cms.kapalua.com/index.php?opt...257&Itemid;=862 2. Wailea (all three courses are awesome) http://www.waileagolf.com/index.php# 3. Kaanapali http://www.kaanapali-golf.com/kaanap...=131&page;=2330
  8. The Sand Trap did a review on these a while ago. I suppose more importantly it would matter which year your clubs were. http://thesandtrap.com/clubs/clevela...d_irons_review
  9. I don't know what golf shops you have around you but here we have a Roger Dunn that will let you trade in a brand new club you have won or purchased someplace else for the retail value that they would sell it for. With that I'd go and get a Vokey. I've played Callaway wedges including the X series and nothing compares to a Vokey.
  10. Didn't make a purchase last time in the shop but my two year old was hitting a junior driver in the hitting bay for a while.
  11. Yukari - No wonder you're a tiger lover... look at that picture you have. You must be about 12 years old (I say this in jest but mentally you must be about 13). Young pups just don't understand what real life is about.
  12. I play five wedges. My PW is 47* and I carry Vokey SM 50*, 54*, 58* and a 62*. Each of them I play different shots with due to their sole grinds but can play just about any shot with either my 50 or 58 if I had to.
  13. Conduct unbecoming can get you fired from your job (say getting drunk at a holiday party) and it can get you kicked out of the military. Your actions reflect those that you work for and the entities you are a member of. Tiger works for and is a member of the PGA... if they decided that his actions did not reflect the PGA Tour in the manner for which they define, he more than definitely could be booted from the tour. Would they ever do it is another story. Just read last week's issue of Golf World and you can see the stats he brings in just for viewers of each tournament. If memory serves me correctly, having Tiger in a tournament draws an extra percentage point in the ratings automatically... if he's in contention it goes up even more.
  14. Personally I don't care when he comes back if at all. What he put his wife and kids through should be enough to kick him off the tour.
  15. Winners of past tournaments were not at the bi-monthly meeting. Either they just weren't there or they were practicing on the course or the range. Thread indicates that winners don't sit around swilling beers.
  16. A lot of golf is built around routine so think about what you are doing here before your round... you are essentially breaking your routine. The day you shot your lowest round on the toughest course did you ask a group of people beforehand for advice? What about when you are just going out to practice, do you ask for advice? Most probably not... Stop thinking about your tryouts as anything more than just playing a round of golf and you will be fine. As for your daily routine, keep it exactly the same as any other day you'd go out and play. Your routine is what it is so don't try and change it now. Helpful advice for the first tee and throughout the round is just to have fun. Be confident that the time and effort you have put into practicing will lead you to where you want to be.
  17. $26 Sat / Sun Resident Rate - no cart. $13 additional for a cart.
  18. Anyone else tired of hearing about the effects of the new grooves. If I have to hear Faldo mention one more time that it's the shot from 50 yards in from the rough where it makes the biggest difference I might go insane. Seriously, it's the third tournament of the year and I've had enough already. Here are 41 articles on the golf channel site if you really need to read more about it. http://www.thegolfchannel.com/core.a...search=grooves
  19. Our golf club does a really good job of getting singles out. Just ask to be put on the list when you get there. The longest I've ever had to wait is an hour but that was a great hour of putting practice for me.
  20. Apparently they are a new brand of Ecco shoes. See link for details... http://www.worldgolf.com/newswire/br...ons-Tour-Debut
  21. Having played professional polo for 15+ years I can say it has helped me control my swing and get me on plane.
  22. Here's a jumping off point for you to find the right grip size for your hand. http://www.golfgrips-direct.com/acat...ip_Sizing.html
  23. Assuming he plays a 3I - PW, you are saying he only changed nine clubs out of fourteen since last season. Doesn't seem to be "pretty much the same" to me when 65% of your bag is new.
