  1. I'm odd and working on what to do about grips. My hands are pretty average sized but my pinky fingers are very short. So if my ring finger can hit the palm of my hand my pinky can't come close and it makes holding the club harder. I've thought about regripping a couple with smaller grips because choking down really helps on my normal clubs. My pinkies don't reach the last knuckle on my ring fingers :/
  2. Want to win ... Duval Pick to win ... Ogilvy
  3. We have opposite terrible driving problems then. I hit the ball a long way but when I miss I'm chipping out from the trees which makes pars difficult
  4. I'm about the same.. Your F/W's are MUCH higher than mine but your GIR's are a little lower than mine even with me being in the F/W a lot less than you (less than 40%). Just from looking at stats your iron play seems worse than a 14 HC. Is it because of distance and you have long 2nd shots into par 4's?
  5. 80% or so with irons 60% with Driver
  6. New ones.. that's what you bought them for :D
  7. What other club are you going to use 25+ times a round?? I used my driver twice last 2 times I've played. Seems $300 on a putter gets more value than $300 on a driver BTW.. I don't have a $300 putter but I sure would have bought one if it were my preference
  8. 100% worth it for me. Fully private course. No trouble with tee times, I get within 30 minutes of what I want. Pace is good even on weekends. Free range balls. Food is good. Beverage chickadee's are cute :D I've enjoyed being a member and the same course doesn't bother me
  9. Ya... Get flatter, flatter, flatter with your pitching wedge and watch how inconsistent it gets :D I battle the same issues. This game is fun isn't it?
  10. Guess I'm the opposite.. I ordered 2 hybrids from TGW.. One went on backorder and I forgot about it. When it came a month later talk about shock.. lol

    14 Club Rule

If you're a 25HC why not drop the Driver?? Probably hit the 3W straighter and just as long
  12. 42.. took 2 penalty strokes b/c of poor tee shots and had to chip out of the woods once. Only had 12 putts though and got up and down 5/6 times which is good
  13. 2 or 3 9's after work during the week and at least a round on the weekend. I normally work on the range or putting green for an hour before or after the weekday 9's. Now that the wifey is getting busy with work and having to work weekends and late at night I'll probably get a little more in
  14. I bought both and even though I hit the ball high I like the Black better. I felt the red was a touch hard, not terrible mind you but the Black didn't spin as much as the ProV1. TP Black is my ball these days
  15. My Putter is one of the original Never Compromise but that was late 90's/2000 ish I think. So not too old. And I just replaced a 15 year old lob wedge
  16. I enjoy watching European Tour in the mornings on the weekend. it's good golf and I feel like a lot of the players get "screen time". I see a lot of shots, not just all the shots of 1 or 2 players. I'll be watching the John Deere Also though to see how DD fares
  17. LOL... Now that's funny
  18. 1. Have FUN 2. Average at least 1 birdie a round 3. Limit doubles or worse to an average of 1 per round (this one's gonna be hard) 4. Break 80 5. More consistent with woods
  19. First let me say.. I really like my G10 Hybrids (have both an 18° and 21°) But 15 yds is a big gap?
  20. choke up? I choke up at least an inch on my Driver and 3 wood
  21. I rarely pull my driver out. In fact I didn't at all last night and played my best nine holes ever. Staying in between the trees is the way to go

    Pace of Play

HAHA.. I can only laugh because playing with the wife is the same for me. I'm not allowed to say anything . She just wants to swing and hit it and doesn't care otherwise. She's slow also but will quit if things aren't going well and just ride in the cart. The only thing I've ever told her when she gets up to the tee is "Knock the shit out of hte ball". She gets a kick out of that
  23. I went through this when I battled the chicken wing so I'll give you the swing thought that helped me keep from "flipping" my wrists. I think about my right shoulder going down (to keep it under my left) and then through the ball (forward). I've gained effortless power and consistency out of it. Side Note: I also weakened my grip some which helped me release the club on follow through better and kept the hooks away
  24. Very good for beginners. No reason to be humiliated out on the course. People automatically expect too much of themselves. It's a bummer for a beginner to hit their 1 good tee shot of the day and then drive out to find it in a divot. I always tell my high handicap friends/playing partners to move it, doesn't bother me at all. When they get a little more consistent they can learn to hit out of a divot or other unfavorable lie
