  1. I wouldn't go quite that far, but 1 isn't one of the harder Augusta greens, so it is absolutely crazy. Mind=blown
  2. I love John, but the most likely scenario is he will come out of the gates with a 65, then follow it up with an 87.
  3. Its a lot when you are doing good reps, like Rory is doing. Most guys throw on excessive weight and have about a 12 inch range of motion. He is plenty strong enough now, he doesn't need to keep throwing on more weight.
  4. He is squatting 265 for reps, and he is going down far enough, pretty admirable for a guy his size, but I hope he doesn't end up with unrelated back injuries as a result.....
  5. The whole season so far, except for Jordan's blow out at the Hyundai has been exciting and seems to come down to the last few shots. This week was no exception. Phil can definitely still compete at the highest level despite his age.
  6. Anyone playing this recently? I got it for pc and was initially underwhelmed by the multiplayer but then discovered tgctours.com where they have many different tours following the real world tournaments. Its very organized with money lists and everything. Q school, etc.
  7. Are par 4s this short commonplace on the lpga?
  8. I don't know, I feel like he should have been able to get closer than he was on the third shot, no? Obviously not hitting the green, but it looked like he was not even close to the water on the third. First he underestimated the wind, then he overestimated it going into the green, going too long. Monday morning quarterback for sure, but I feel like he could've given himself a reasonable birdie shot somehow.
  9. He played his second shot way to conservatively, what an underwhelming last three shots.
  10. Does anyone know if any network is carrying the tournament today? This turned out to be pretty exciting.
  11. Didn't Gomez get to the green from the bend? So did Blair at the end of regulation. I guess if you successfully cut it, you are looking at closer to 200 as opposed to 280 or whatever.
  12. I don't get why everyone is so hungry on the 18th. Its easy if you play conservatively off the tee, as Gomez demonstrated. He earned that win, although Snedeker put up a good fight, even with bad tee shots in the playoff.
  13. How do you think its way to early to compare? He has already matched Tiger and Jack in certain areas, and set other standards that they never did.
  14. Scoring slowed down, Koepka might have a shot, especially with Spieth mis hitting so much. Reed might I mean
  15. That would be difficult for anyone but a near scratch capper, to hit 5 medium-long shots in a row.
  16. I would say generally speaking greens. It all comes down to greens, no only for putting but chips and pitches. Up here in the northeast, right now many cheaper courses, and even a couple expensive ones, are suffering badly from severely burned out fairways, like hitting off a dirt driveway, which is a pet peeve of mine. However that is environmental, so with all other things equal, greens of course.
  17. People getting their freak on right on a fairway during a college party on a small 9 hole course on campus, a guy i was playing with skulled a shot into a pelicans leg, broke the leg for sure, can only imagine how long the poor thing suffered for, a huge, and I mean huge, turtle right on the fairway of another local course, thing looked exactly like a sea turtle given the size.
  18. I played 9 and shot 3 over. Par 34. Good round but I was one over through 8 and hit the perfect hybrid off the tee but the high wind held it up into a fairway bunker. Doubled 9....terrible end after the best round I ever had going.
  19. Whats with all the complaints about fat guys? Is baseball a sport? Anyone disagree? I bet even I could beat Babe Ruth, or even today's CC Sabathia in several running events, but I don't think anyone disputes baseball being a sport.
  20. +5 for a 39 on the front 9 of my new home course. I doubled a par 3 after hitting it short into a wet corner of a bunker. Putted for birdie on almost all my parred holes, but that just wasn't as sharp as it could have been.
  21. He didn't earn number 1 back, Jordan gave it to him. Honestly, the bad play by him is a true testament to golf, the ups and downs, ebb and flow, etc... One day you are on top, the next you feel like a beginner...
  22. If it is true that he didn't change it, then hats off to him. The PC police in this country sicken me, and there is no valid reason to ban the confederate flag. There have been many racial shootings on both sides, perhaps we should ban all symbols of black power due to the shooting of the two reporters??!?
  23. What is the official sandtrap definition of waggle? Its not shaking your rear end is it? I'm thinking its more settling your body into the shot. That I do, followed by some re-gripping.
  24. How does this affect you exactly? If the fedex ratings are not quite up to speed?
  25. Sadly, I sort of have to agree, even as a non-Tiger fan. No other big names were even playing as far as I could see. Its like the week after a major everyone is hung over, I suppose it was good for the PGA that Tiger decided to play, money wise.
