  1. Using my grill as a smoker. Yesterday I made some awesome ribs and pulled-pork. Oh and lottery tickets.
  2. That's amazing, congrats to you overcoming such a difficult start! And to be able to shoot such a low handicap! Asperger's I assume? As an aside, my wife who works with special needs children (she's an OT) thinks I might be on the spectrum as well! She's usually right.
  3. Well said. Moving does suck. I've done it probably 25 or 30 times.
  4. Now that is funny.
  5. Not ALWAYS, but frequently, yes.
  6. What is there to say, he's still Tiger Woods, one of, if not the greatest, of all time. He might not ever get back to where he was a few years ago, might not dominate and win by 10 strokes, but he'll still win. And this year too. As Iacas said in the other thread regarding Hank Haney's resingation, Tiger will be hitting the ball better inside of one session with whomever he goes with.
  7. There are some liquid rust removers on the market you can get at your local hardware store that should do the trick. The key is to remove all traces of rust, or it will come back. The rust products could be a little harsh, not sure what it'll do to the finish or look of the blade though.
  8. Chappy, that's a great avatar.
  9. When I first started playing last year, my dad gave me his bag as he hardly ever plays anymore. Upon getting it home (from Indianapolis to Chicago), I went through all the pockets to see what I had, and found, his old dirty socks, presumably from the last time he played. More gross than weird I guess.
  10. What he said.
  11. I've been having this same problem, went from hitting my hybrids much better than irons, to the opposite : { I will try putting the ball further back in my stance as Zeph sugggested, I've been playing them just off my left heel.
  12. My Adams Pro Gold 60* lob wedge is my #1. #2 I'd have to go with my Adams 19* hybrid #3 I'd say is a toss up between my 8 iron (best shot I've ever hit was with an 8i) or my 29* Cobra Baffler hybrid
  13. Adams for hybrids
  14. I'm so bad, that I DEFINITELY DO NOT play better at better courses. I play better when there is no water and no sand (or very little of either!). But it's definitely more awe inspiring and fun on the better courses I have played, which ultimately means more to me.
  15. Go paddy!
  16. Davenport perhaps?
  17. Never had any issues like this.
  18. I like it, I don't like blades, and I do like the white color, it's different!
  19. Thanks for the tips and advice everyone! So we priced several units at several stores, and ended up witha 46" Toshiba 1080p 120Hz set, got the satellite update to HD signal, the HD cord for the Wii, and everything looks awesome! I even talked my wife into upgrading to the package that includes the golf channel. WOOT! As luck would have it, my brother in law was over last night, and told his sis (my wife) that DVD watching won't be so good without a BluRay, which she promptly ordered online!! Had it been me suggesting it, probably would have gone the other way. Double win! What a great weekend, it was my birthday too!
  20. High School is tough, I wasn't popular starting out in a new school system, was awkward around everybody, not just, but especially the girls too. Just be yourself, first and foremost. Know who your true friends are, be respectful to everybody but don't knock yourself out trying to make everyone like you, it'll have the opposite effect. Respect yourself first. The people that treat you like crap aren't worth your time, don't worry about it. In high school it's all about cliques and crap, but in college you see people being friends that wouldn't have had a chance in HS. Keep your head down and do well in your classes, look forward to what college has in store!
  21. So the title says it all really, I don't know much about what to look for, how to compare, what name brands are good what's bad etc. Other than p over i, 1080 over 720, what should I be looking for or avoiding? LCD, LED-LCD, Plasma, which is best? My wife and I are looking to spend between $800-$1000, FYI. Thanks for any help you can give!
  22. In answer to your original question, absolutely, I'm trying to "force" a straight shape. Then once I get that figured out, I'll try to figure out what makes them tend to go right, then once I have that down, I'll try and figure out how to make them go left!
  23. Well of course it isn't purely natural talent, no one in professional golf got there purely on talent, they had to work hard, develop their game, etc. I agree he maybe messes with his swing too much though, but only he knows his reasoning and he probably thinks ultimately it will improve his game. There's always growing pains with trying something new/different!
  24. Seriously.
  25. Yeah I hope that does help. You may find yourself tightening up quite a bit from swigning at less than 80-100% for a pitch shot then putting, then waiting for the group ahead before finally teeing off again. Might even take up to 20 minutes or so between full swings!
