My personal advice is this: Go cheap. Go Used. (at first) Here is why: As your game improves, you will quickly (this is relative) want/need/desire different clubs. If you spend a ton of money on some brand spanking new Super-Duper-Game-Improvement clubs and your skill level quickly jumps, you may feel you want some clubs with smaller heads, less offset, etc, etc. then you are kinda screwed money wise.

I would agree with all of that...well except the part about Ping clubs looking good

Ended up getting the mizuno mx-100 irons. Thanks for all your input. Looking into getting a driver any suggestions?

Taylormade R9 460. My dad and i both have one and we love it. It is very forgiving, yet you can still work the ball well. The Adjustments are also nice. I have hit all of the top drivers and i like this one the best. But i would suggest hitting several different ones. What is best for some people isn't going to work the best for you.

Like before, you are asking a very vague question. But, the answer is pretty much the same, go to Golf Town, hit some drivers and see what you like the best. People can suggest drivers for you all they want, but it all comes down to what works for you. You can't just go out and buy a club because joe schmo over the internet told you it's good.

Hmmmm ...... I didn't read the whole thread, maybe it is there allready ..... I wouldn't seriously look at super game improvement, unless you want to buy several sets in a few years ..... if you are a bit serious I would look at a set, of which the manufactor tells us they are for midcappers (12-24 hc).....

Cal Razr Hawk 10.5 | TM Superfast 3W | Adams Idea Pro Black 20 | MP-68 3-PW | TW9 50/06 + 58/12 | Ram Zebra Putter

Congrats on the new set of irons... As for the driver I bought a Cleveland Hibore XLS 10.5* and love it. I have never really been very accurate off the tee but after hitting this club for awhile I am getting my driver down pretty well. The other good thing about this driver other than it being very forgiving is its cheap. I found mine used in great condition for 85 shipped to my door.

    • I have nothing to add other than I freaking love her swing and I think she's hot as hell and some of my golfing buddies disagree so I fought them
    • I’m not sure I agree. It’s just what the majority find more entertaining. Most people prefer women’s gymnastics over men in the Olympics. How much hype is there with the men’s compared to the women’s? I bet you can rattle off several big names in women’s gymnastics and only a handful of men. Women’s tennis …same thing. And sure enough, their purses are the same. However, WNBA, awful…LPGA, not near as much interest than PGA. Don’t think it’s really that complicated IMO.

    • If you walk up to a food/drink kiosk at Magic Kingdom and ask the person for a cup of "magic water" they will give you a small cup of Sprite for free. About 3 fingers worth. They don't sell alcohol at MK anymore so I go over to one of the courses while she hangs out there.
