While the stuff looks nice and I'm sure it's great, but there is no way I could get myself to spend so much for golf clothing. The stuff costs more than what my dress clothes for work cost me. Perhaps if I was in a different income bracket it would be a different story.

If I played a lot of golf in cold, wet weather, I'd gladly pony up the cost for one or two of their outfits, looks like great gear.  I hate being cold and wet, and I also hate trying to golf in some ill-fitting raingear that wasn't made for golfing.  I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum, however; I live in the desert where cold, wet days are few and far between, and I just don't golf on those days. :-)

I'll add to the kudos for the company logo, too - very creative!

Since my work clothing primarily consists of polos, cargo pants, jeans and tennis shoes, this will actually be more formal...

Our first collection for fall 2015 is definitely an homage to the weather where we're from and linksy golf destinations that we dream about: cabot cliffs, bandon dunes, whistling straits

But we're from the central valley california and grew up playing in the 110 degree heat on the "linksy" fairways of Stevinson Ranch Golf Course (RIP). We understand the heat and need for appropriate clothing. Our future spring/summer collections will address this, while incorporating the intuitive wiping layers right where you need/want them

Stay tuned. This is just the beginning

Hi Everyone!!

Quick update that the STATE APPAREL kickstarter campaign is moving along quickly.

Thanks to some readers here at TST, we're already to 83% of our $10k goal with 20 days to go.

Other than TST, we've had a lot of press momentum with coverage from Golf Digest and today we are featured as one of SI Golf+'s "favorite things"

If you've had your eye on certain rewards and planning to pledge, you might as well do it now and help us get to our goal.

Thanks

STATE APPAREL

I need to update members on the kit ... I wore the pants in low 50's, cloudy weather with a bit of wind early in the morning. The pants keep  you warm. They also possess water repellency. Great pants for winter.

Shirts are very comfortable with a fit that is not a drape, but not tight. Shirts are meant for cooler weather.

In fact, in cloudy, 50's weather, all I needed were the pants, top base layer and shirt. After 5 minutes, the sweater, which is a soft layer look, came off. Everyone else at the range wore jackets, beanies, and various layers. And I don't like cold weather -- lived in Texas for too long and the blood is thin, so I usually do the over layer look.

Yes, it is expensive, but well made in the USA. In poor weather, it's best to stay warm with as few layers as possible. This does it.
