so i went to every single new york city golf retailer and believe it or not, none of them carry a single brand new 2 iron!

I want to replace my bobby jones hybrid with a cavity backed 2 iron. So basically, use all players blades with my CG1's 3-9 but get something like a Callaway Fusion backed 2 iron. I just want to be able to look down and see an iron instead of a wood and i know i can hit one of these bad boys because i've done it before.

Where do i get a damned 2 iron?

You can order one in - check on companys websites to see if they make a 2iron first.

Alternatively, go on eBay. Lots of them there. I'm looking to get a Ping i10 at the moment.

Ask the retailer to order one for you. There are at least three companies I know of who make a 2-iron, so I'm sure they can order it for you. Plus, if you know your specs, you can get it made to that!

well,

Well, I've heard that the Ping i10 2-iron blends perfectly with the set. That was my second choice for irons when I set up my recent purchase.

I've hit the Mizuno MP FLI-HI 3-iron, and it's terrific, so I suspect the 2-iron is too. Unfortunately, they only had it in S-flex, so I couldn't get a real read off of the club. However, this is essentially a hybrid (in functionality, although I suspect it won't cut through grass as well as the wood-shaped ones) that looks like a blade at address, so I'm not sure if it fits your criteria.

Ping i10 - I have players irons but am looking for a little more forgiveness from a 2-iron and this has more cavity. Inspires confidence (if Ping is your thing)

well,

Cleveland made the CG2, CG4 Tour, and CG4 all with 2 irons. Might go better with your CG1's if you want to stick with Cleveland.

I did a little snooping around for you and what ever you decide to do on the 2 iron I think there are two things to cinsider. To fit into your set of Irons you want it to be 18 degress of loft. Also to match the feel of your clubs you want what ever you choose to be swingweight of D2 hope this helps a little.

MP-60s might be a little hard to hit, but sometimes if you go online there will be an option to buy a single iron. Usually this is a 3 iron because sets are now sold in 4-PW, but you might be able to find a 2 iron like this online. Try TGW.com or Golfsmith.com

How much hype is there with the men’s compared to the women’s? I bet you can rattle off several big names in women’s gymnastics and only a handful of men. Women’s tennis …same thing. And sure enough, their purses are the same. However, WNBA, awful…LPGA, not near as much interest than PGA. Don’t think it’s really that complicated IMO.
