He might win the U.S. Open, but after that I have a feeling we wont be seeing him until the Open Champioship. TGC is promoting "2 weeks of Tiger" at the Buick Open and AT&T; National. I have a feeling he is going to take a lot of time off after the U.S. Open with his knee issues.

Doubt it. He may use it as an excuse, however. Personally, I think he is faking the knee. I had a torn meniscus and a calcium deposit knee surgery and after both of them I was 100% within 2 weeks. I was a collegiate tennis player and football player(sports wau harder on your knees than golf), and played soccer/golf/lifted weights/mountain climbed with friends at the college dorms.

Everyone I've talked to has had similar experiences with knee surgery( I talked to a lot before I got the first one). It's not so bad. So he eiether re-aggravated(maybe he did) it and will need another surgery, or he is faking it, or perhaps he is the just biggest wuss on the planet in professional sports.

Take your pick. I go with faking after I saw him wincing at very odd moments during certain swings, and not to mention the completely bogus kneeling over in supposed pain. You don't kneel like that with knee issue. That's what someone would do with a back injury. You instincively pick the leg off the ground to take weight off it. Complete faker imo.

Yeah, I keep thinking the same thing. Especially if he proves to himself that he can take TWO months off and still compete - one month shouldn't matter much.

Yeah, that's Tiger, the excuse maker. Get real buddy.

Do you swing 125 MPH?

Uhm, yeah........ The rest of your post doesn't even warrant a response.

Why would he fake an injured knee? There's no reason to do it. That would be like saying Michael Jordan faked his flu during the Finals in 1997. This also isn't the first injury he has had to that knee.

Bottom line: you're an ass.

He doesn't need to make excuses when he has the fawning, nut-licking mediato do it for him.

Do you swing 125 MPH?

No idea. I serve at about that speed, however. I also squat well over 600 pounds. I was a fulllback in college. I'd crush Tiger's ribs on the football field with one hit.

Uhm, yeah........ The rest of your post doesn't even warrant a response.

Truth hurts sometims. Sometimes it's hard to see the BS of the situation with testicles swinging in your face.

I think Tiger will play at the Buick, to pay tribute to one of his Sponsors. He must support them or he could be in danger of being dropped by them no matter how good he is. I don't think Tiger is the type to fake injury. The amount of kinetic energy his body produces during a 120 mph+ swing has and will take its toll. He can take a break, play half the tournaments the others do and still win the FedEx thing easily.

A lot of the US tour players, Phil and JD included, are coming to the Scottish Open at Loch Lomond in July in preparation for 'The Open'. Tiger would be more than welcome to pop along as a late entrant. Duval could come along too if he can be bothered.

He is faking it so he knows the media will use it as a excuse for him if he loses, just like his completely bogus "Swing change". His swing change was near negligible, a very minor difference in the arms, noting more. Yet for a year we heard the same tired crap about him losing.

Again, you cannot explain the fact that when he winced in pain he BENT OVER. The absolutely WORST THING you could do with a aggravated knee injury. Again, the natural instinct to is to pull all weifght off that leg even if it means hoping around like a bunny rabbit.

Wow.

Must we fight over this?

And besides, he bent over to get his tee while he was in pain. He's a tough guy, and apparently you don't get that.

Each of these responses is enough for me to know to not take anything you say seriously.

Empirical evidence? You have MRI's of his knee?

Lets not forgot the knee has been repaired on three times, the exact same knee. I think that has a ton to do with it.

Video tape of him bending over with a grimace more than once, unless you suggest he was just struck with the urge to bend over and was sucking on some sour patch kids.

Tiger, is one of the toughest guys since Curt Schilling in the 04 World Series with the bloody ankle. End of story.

LOL. Ya, 3 months to get over arthroscopic knee surgery, which takes most people less than 3-4 weeks to get over.

And i have empirical evidence you are an idiot, the fact that there have been NUMEROUS people already telling you why you are wrong!

Unless you know the specific ins and outs of the specific injury and surgery that tiger had (i'm 99.999999999% sure you don't) then you cannot comment. End of story.

Tiger Woods has had knee problem for a long time, and on this occasion the surgery may have been more substantial, i am only speculating, but i'm certainly not making outlandish statements and pretending they are fact!

In football (soccer) a player called ronaldo (at the time the best player on the planet) had knee surgery and he didn't kick a ball for a year!

Do you really genuinely believe that an individual like Tiger Woods would fake an injury? What is the point, there is none. You claim it was so that if he played badly he could blame the knee, surely if this is the case he would have been ranting about it himself, instead of saying "it is what it is, i've just got to get on with it." Again, he is often wincing on good shots, surely your argument would be stronger if he was wincing on bad shots, thus appearing to blame the injury for the bad shot. Or is this all part of the Tiger Woods conspiracy?

Let me guess, you are going to start a thread about the moon landing being fake, and that Elvis is still alive, and that JFK was shot by russians, or the CIA, or even aliens? These are all about as accurate as claiming that woods has faked his injury!

You said before he did.

No idea. I serve at about that speed, however.

OK, Tiger's ball speed is 185 MPH. I don't care what you serve: tennis and golf are different sports, and you don't swing your golf club 125 MPH.

I think Tiger will play at the Buick, to pay tribute to one of his Sponsors.

I think Tiger is no longer sponsored by Buick.

This page wasn't even updated in 2007.
He is faking it so he knows the media will use it as a excuse for him if he loses, just like his completely bogus "Swing change".

You've lost any credibility you may have had, and I think you're heading for "negative rep-land" real quick.

Again, you cannot explain the fact that when he winced in pain he BENT OVER.

I can bend over while putting all my weight on one leg, just as Tiger did. You bend from the hips, moron. His left leg was on its toes.

It's inflammation and pain. It's not "still injured." When he swings, he feels pain. Within 10 seconds he can walk almost normally, but the immediate aftermath hurts. You've demonstrated that you know nothing about Tiger nor his knee injury. Keep it up and, whether you become a "Bad Seed" or not, you'll find yourself in the penalty box.

Dude... I'm sure we are all impressed at your weight lifting prowess, and sports experience, however, as someone who has played plenty of football, has suffered with knee problems for years, and works in the medical field, I completely disagree with your opinion. The stress on a knee caused by a REPEATED golf swing is entirely different than that experienced playing football. Couple that with the fact that no two people heal exactly the same, your "empirical" evidence of the video of him at the Open, crumbles under scrutiny. When you have copies of his MRI, and have been in the OR with his surgeon, looking at the arthroscopic image of his damaged knee, I think we'll all consider your point more seriously. Sorry to hear about your own knee troubles. I can sympathize,

    • I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.
    • Day 542, April 26, 2024 A lesson no-show, no-called (he had the wrong time even though the last text was confirming the time… 😛), so I used 45 minutes or so of that time to get some good work in.
    • Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
