The Nike rep at a local Golf Galaxy Event Nite informed me that they are working on new player-type irons. I am really excited for this, partly because im looking for new irons, and partly becuase im a big nike fan.

Jus wanted to know how you guys feel about this, and your opinions on Nikeirons in general.

they'd REALLY have to improve the feel off the club. i'm thinking they're coming out with sort of like a MP60 and will have a cross of the blade and cb.
other ppl are doing it....i don't even really follow nike. I tried them out...didn't like any of the irons...and have never tried another one since.

They are also coming out with new forged blades, and wedges

Yep, theres a lot of hype about Nikes new line (being released in November I think), the line is called "victory red".... I'm holding out for the wedges.

I liked the Nike Forged irons a few years back. I am sure they will be a nice iron. I will stick with my Mizunos though.

I want to see how their forged wedges compare to it's competitors! Regardless, it is good news as it means more selection for us consumers and if they do a great job, other companies will have to follow suit and up their game.

The new irons might look like the Prototype that Shingo Matayama uses. They have a very small cavity.

The other iron possibility is a new combo. These cavity backs will be smaller and look similar to the Miura Cavity Back 201s.

Yes, those are the ones. Have you seen the split cavity that never went to retail? Those are really nice, too.
