At the end of last year I purchased a 60 vokey sm. I thought I'd love it, but I don't hit it consistently at all. In turn I usually chip with a 10 year old forged 58 degree SW. The vokey head just seems to big and clunky to me. How did others adapt to hit it. I also feel as though I cant get under the ball.

I feel the same way about the vokeys especially around the green. Too clunky with way too big of a heel for delicate chips. Very good spin but way too inconsistent. I switched to Cleveland's and don't have that problem anymore. You might just try a lower bounce though and it could allow you to get under it easier.

Practice makes perfect. Just go to the range/green and practice practice practice.

What's your problem exactly? I used to have trouble chipping but once I tried to hit down on it, I got the ball up in the air. Also remember to follow through with your down swing. Don't chop at it.

I'm not sure what problems you're having but those tips greatly helped me.

What exactly is the difference between hitting down on it, and chopping at it? The follow through?

When you said you have problems getting under the ball. The image I get is you are trying to help the ball up by lifting. Golf is a game of oposites and you hit down to get the ball up.

Try putting some masking tape on your club and hit some balls, you should make contact with 5 - 6 grooves up the leading edge of your vokey or any club. sounds like you might be making contact on only 3 of the grooves.

Try playing the ball in the back of you stance and keep you weight transfer on the inside of your back foot. The feel of the club, the sound of the contact, the trajectory and the mark on the masking tape on your club will all indicate a solid contact on your Vokey wedge.

This will help you overall game with all your clubs in your bag.

Very good advice.

Yep. Follow through with your swing. Hit down on the ball and get under it. While you're following through, the ball will lift and get up in the air.

I'll defintley give this a try the next time I'm at a practice green. I have such a lack of confidence in it right now I can't bear bring it out during a round. Thanks.
