Just curious, any of you guys who currently play the 907 Titleist driver sticking with it? Don't get me wrong, the 909's look amazing, but i just got a new shaft and now hitting the D2 a lot more consistent and further than before. I guess I also can't afford a 909.... :(

I like my 907. I will be sticking with it. I also like the look better than the new 909s. I am proably in the minority, but I think it is a very good club. I would like to put a new shaft in it. I have never really like the aldila that is in it.

The look of the 909s reminds me of something you would find in one of those box sets so if I had a 907i would probably stick with it

First, I'm sticking with this driver!

I'm in the same boat, meaning I really don't like my aldila shaft. my swing speed with the driver is 105 and my ball flight is very high with the 9.5. Is this shaft right for me you think? thanks.

I have it, and will be sticking with it for sure, I'm with Fredguay in that I like the looks of the 907 better then the 909, I hate the high gloss on the 909 sole.

Im sticking with my 907 D1 and D2.

I haven't had a chance to hit any of the 909's, but im so happy with my current set-up. I wont be changing for a while.

I think its the same goes with even the Titleist tour pro's. They are still seen hitting drivers from several years ago. I guess they are classic-designs.

If it aint broke, dont fix it.

Couldn't agree more. If the driver is splitting the fairway & going where you want it to go, why would you want to change. My Nike driver is now superseded also but there's no way I'll be changing because it performs so well.

Until the 909s came out - then they pretty much all switched. Some held onto the 905R because they liked it more than the 907, which wasn't very different technologically but had a different shape and slightly different launch conditions.

Coming In November! Titleist 909D3 Drivers...Performance You Can Believe In!

Is Titleist trying to be funny with it being election month at all or is this just a coincidence, either way I laughed.

I probably will keep mine, unless the d3 gets me at least 10 yards more, which i doubt. I think a good shafted 907d2 is just as good as a 909d3.All major pros say the advancements in shafts has mattered more than clubheads.

I will be sticking with my 907.

It is the first driver that I have hit consistently well.

I, like many people, tried the 907s - and was left unimpressed. I've been through the 905S to the 905R to the 907D2 and then 907D1 (which I actually hit for a while unitl the super high flight frustrated me), and then onto TaylorMade's recent (and numerous) offerings. I am looking forward to Eric's podcast with Titleist, and further comments on the 909D3. I am still looking for the holy grail that will finally pull the 905s (and its low launch and low spin) out of my bag.

I can appreciate someone who sticks to their 907 if they hit it well - although I someday would like to know the feeling of being totally happy with a driver :)

Hell, I just put my 905S back in the bag, I am way behind the times. I cracked the face of my TaylorMade, so its back to the trusty 905S. I just can't stand drivers that are weighted to help close the clubface. I will definately give the 909 lineup a try, but the chances of switching are minimal especially with a new fixed TaylorMade on the way.

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
