I just got a set of these over the weekend and played a round on Sunday with them. Man what a difference a club makes. I had a set of Titleist AP-1's which I got through the cc because they didn't have Ping (actually they got nuked from Ping for giving discounts). Anyways I bought the AP-1's on a whim and regretted it since day one. Local golf shop had a good deal on a set i10 black dots with AWT stiff shafts. So I bought them.

Smaller club face, lighter club, just much more suited for me. It's amazing what a different club can do mentally to your game. Especially a 'game improvement' compared to a more skilled or players club.

The AP-1 looked gigantic next to the i10, seriously made me feel like I was cheating or something. I dont have the feeling with the i10's. Maybe because I learned on a 20 year old set of Lynx clubs and there were no 'game improvement' clubs back then!

Anyways, I recommend i10's over the AP-1's.

i love my i10s. i chose them because i feel they are the perfect balance between a blade and a game improvement iron. the pro at my course recommended them to me, he has to meet mizuno's requirement of 11 clubs in his bag, otherwise he'd play the i10s.

The Ping i10s are great, great looking, easy to shape the ball, and go long.

well, i would give it a B rating, it is not as versitle as my trusty slingshot hybrid, but it gets the job done. if you are interested in purchasing a g10 hybrid of your own, make sure to get the graphite shaft, as the steel shaft is extremely difficult to use effectively. It is great off the tee and from the rough, however, the depth of the face makes it difficult to hit from the fairway. Also, i have noticed it is very easy to turn this face open, more so than any other club in my bag, this is probably due to the odd shape of the club face, most of the off center hits will result in a slight cut. Despite this it is forgiving, however not that workable.

I played the i10s for about 2 months, I found that they are trying to be a blade, but really give you a bunch of forgiveness and not much workability.

I decided to splurge this year and buy the titleist ZB irons, they got a full cavity in the 3, and 4 irons for help if you need it, witch I do in the longer irons, partial in the 5-7, and traditional muscle back in the 8-pwd, found that these felt a lot better to play and could work the ball much easier.

Bought a set of used I10's. Never shot below 83. Shot a 76 my 2nd time out with them and broke 40 three times in four 9 hole rounds. If you're a mid-handicapper looking for an iron that gives you forgiveness yet still has a blade feel that will allow you to continue to improve, I highly suggest the Ping I-series (I-2, I3 blade, I5, I10, I15).
