Anyone have any positive/negative experiences with Golf School? If so, which ones?

I was thinking about attending one during vacation. Wondering if hours of lessons and tweaking techniques within a few days is worth the tremendous amount of money, or is better to use that money on weekly lessons?

I am currently going to golf school in austin texas this weekend. I have really enjoyed it. I am attending Golf Dynamics a golf digest top 25 school. I like this school cause they help you on a individual level. It is not a one size fits all approach. If you have any questions about it just drop me a line.

I've never been, but a good buddy of mine went to some 3-day clinic. He said he learned a lot and that it was worth it. Now, 3 years later, he forgot most of what he learned. I guess it's based more on the student's ability to apply what they learn.

I feel the key is to go to one that is accessible to you on a somewhat regular basis. The guys here tell us to call or email them if we are having any problems. The also tell us to come back anytime for another clinic, or even for a quick lesson. I think that it is what you make of it. I plan to come back from time to time for help. I feel that if I stick with the drills and skills I have learned I will go from a 8-10 handicap to 0-1. This has been very beneficial and well worth the money and time. I am here for a 3 day clinic. To me the key is find a place that is best for you. I would recommend golf dynamics in austin to anyone.

How much did that cost?

Now it's around $3k I think. Apiece.

The weekend ones are about $2400. Rafi went to golf school in Arizona or something... Maybe he'll write about it. More than he did here that is.

My old manager took his wife to the same golf school at Pinehurst and loved it. They had a great time and he had a chance to play #2 while he was down there. Sure it is big but if you love the game, I think it is worth it just for the vacation and experience.

Sigh...some year I'll get down there...

Fairways and Greens.
