I like my Footjoy Greenjoys. They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned and were pretty inexpensive.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

That's probably a preference thing. Footjoy might be the number one shoe in golf for a reason... either performance or good marketing,

I am a Nike guy though. I have last year's SP-8.5 in all black and the SP-8 in all white. I love the older SP-8 in the solid white and solid black and you can find them on ebay for fairly cheap. $74.99 is a great deal, considering I paid over $100 for the SP-8.5.

Here is the SP-8 in all white and all black. Sharp shoe. Wouldn't mind having the black ones as well.

Recently bought Footjoy AQL-worn them for 5 roubds now. Very impressed. Very comfortable, no water gets through despite playing in near bog conditions. You can get them quite cheap too. i got em for £35-BARGAIN.

I also like the Nike golf shoes. I personally use the Air Max Revive but the Nike SP- line has alot of great shoes in it. The earlier models are also pretty cheap too.

I've bought three pair of golf shoes in the past year.

The first pair was the FJ Contours that were highly regarded on this forum. They were very comfortable right out of the box...but didn't last very long at all due to them getting loose and losing lateral stability. I think they are simply cut a bit wider. I should have done a better job of fitting them prior to buying them.

The two pair that I alternate between now are both NIKE SP-6 that I bought on sale together for the price of the one pair of FJ Contours. They offer the absolute best traction of any pair of golf shoes I've ever owned. The Scorpion spikes in them are unreal in building and maintaining a stance during the swing. I'll certainly replace the spikes with the same type....awesome grip.

They are all about as waterproof as each other....that is to say....not waterproof for very long. I'll keep buying them, though. Good fitting shoe at a price where you can buy a couple and rotate them. I fully believe that two pairs rotated with last longer than 3 consecutive pairs of golf shoes.

I love buying last years models....or in my current case...year before last's models at huge savings.

For pure walking comfort, check out Ecco. If you walk, these can't be beat. They are normally a bit expensive, but I was able to get a model from 2 years ago for $100 (normally $180). I saw them in Golfsmith catalog for that price as well. Probably the second most comfortable shoes I've ever had is my Callaway shoes that I bought for $60 at Golf Galaxy ($160 normal price).

Do you ever see the Ecco shoes in wide sizes???

I play with a guy who says these are the absolute best shoes in the world. He's been at the game for a lonnnng time and is a bit tight with the old coin. It's a substantial thing to see him ever spring for decent balls or even buy any tees....yet he'll spend the dough on these shoes. There must be something to them.

I bought these from a store for over $100... probably more like $120 but I can't remember...

http://www.golfshoesplus.com/images/...001-PL-1_l.jpg

Then recently bought these on ebay for $74.95 with free shipping and it only took a few days.

Definitely check ebay first... I'll probably buy all of my golf shoes there from now on... budgetgolfer is the seller I bought my SP-8s from. No affiliation but I appreciate good customer service.

It's hard for me to find golf shoes that fit. I just ordered 2 pair of footjoys online last night, one 13w and the other 13xw. I will try them and send back the ones that don't fit. Finding extra wide in 13 is kind of tuff.

Did it the same way a couple of years ago with my footjoy fit dogs.

you could possibly try new balance for extra wide shoes... I like new balance for running, use to work at a new balance store.

Some people don't know they make golf shoes but I'm pretty sure they have.

Right now the best golf shoe out (under $100) is the Footjoy Contour series. Nothing comes close and I've tried a bunch. I can't see paying $250 for golf shoes. Call me cheap.

I did the exact same thing, only I tried them on at Roger Dunn.

Just recently, I bought 3 pair of Adidas 360 Tour Limited or whatever they are called. Yes, the shoes that are $250 a pair right now. I bought three pair from one seller on eBay for $150 per pair. I may be a hacker, but I dress for the tour. :) I like golf style and have fun dressing the part. Anyway, I bought the black with white stripe, the solid brown, and the white with black stripe. I've only worn the black so far, but I'm wearing the brown tomorrow am for the back 9 at Tustin Ranch. I also have a pair of Footjoy Dryjoys and they are excellent shoes. These are 4 or so years old, I just didn't play all that much when I bought them, so they are in great shape. I wear these to practice in.
