These things are top quality. Perfectly flush ferrules, no epoxy residue to be found, perfectly lined up shafts and grips. The club heads themselves are attractive, with understated black and silver medallions in the cavity.

I'll take some high quality pics when I get home if anyone is interested.

Any chance you can demo some G10s alongside the P2s and then report back?

I could. Golf Galaxy has the G10s for demo.

I don't think that would accomplish much right now though. I'm really pretty bad. I just started a couple of weeks ago.

I do have some lessons coming up, and I intend to do a lot of playing. So maybe in a couple of months I'll do exactly that.

I'm not sure if these clubs are awesome or my old clubs were really awful, but I just got back from the range and had the best session I've had yet. 3/4 of the balls I hit went long and straight and I only topped a small handful. I hit the green at 100 yards 3 times in a row with my 9. I hit about a dozen balls with the 3h and 4 of them went 175 or more. I haven't been able to hit that far with anything yet.

Can't wait to take these on the course. I'll take some pics shortly.

Here we go.

The hybrid was hit at the range today, hence the scratches. It was pristine and shrinkwrapped when I opened the box.

Good looking clubs!

Oh I know. I expect that it's even worse in real life, as internet forums tend to be a little biased the other way. They can get over it while I spend the $500+ I saved on lessons and greens fees!

I started playing a month ago. Had Slazenger Raw Distance 2008 PW-5iron, 3-4 hybrid Raw Distance, 3 wood Lynx, Driver Raw Distance Driver 13 degree, Snake Eyes 60 degree wedge, 54 degree MacGregor sand wedge.

I replace LW, SW-5 irons with GigaGolf P2 irons and added a P2 2i Hybrid to my existing clubs. +.5 length, +2 degree lie. Firm flex shaft irons, Stiff Hybrid shafts, and regular flex woods.

I played a round today.....improvement big time in ball striking off the ground.
I even got the 2 hybrid off the ground. I really think the +2 degree lie made a difference. Also, I like the Temper Feather lite shafts and it seems going with Standard grips instead of midsize helped with turning my hands over.

Just got my Cloud 9 Ti driver (Ping Rapture clone) from them. I got it -.75" to bring the length down to 44.5". Very attractive club. Not crazy about the 2' long sock on the headcover though.

Have you taken them to a shop and demoed agains the G10s just to see what difference, if any, there is?

No, not yet. Probably later this year or next year. I just don't have enough experience hitting anything at this point to be able to really tell the difference - and since I started taking lessons two weeks ago I can't seem to hit anything at all!

Definitely in the cards though.

I hit some G15s at a Ping demo day last week. Seemed identical to me.

In other news, I got the C9 5w fairway wood in today. I got it with a ProLaunch Blue 75. The club is fantastic. I hit it off the tee all day and averaged 190 yards dead straight. Really impressed with it.

I'm looking into some GigaGolf GX922's. I'm a beginner just learning the game and am currently hacking around on some Titliest DCI 990 player clubs. I'm hoping that downgrading to some GI's for a season or two will help me progress a little more quickly. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg as I know I'll be going back to the 990's in a few years. From everything Ive seen and heard GigaGolf has gone from clone company to an established top quality club maker...

Eh, they're a clone manufacturer. The clubs are very well-produced, they have great shaft and customizing options, and they have a slick web site with good selection, but in the end they're still clone clubs. You're not about to see any at the US Open qualifiers ;)

Clone clubs aren't a terrible idea, as long as you know what you are buying. Clone clubs are reverse engineered from the actual clubs they replicate. Unlike the original manufacturer, who engineers thicknesses, materials, mechanical properties, etc of the steel, elastomer and other; clone clubs simply copy the overall dimension and reproduce the club within approximations of size and shape. Less thought is given to materials, thicknesses and mechanical qualities. You get clubs that look like the real thing, provide a majority of the performance at a fraction of the cost.

Is it worth it? For players like nuck81 with something to grow into, I think so. Just be sure that clubhead weight (g) is close to real clubs, and make sure you spring for a good quality shaft. If you cut corners on shafts, you are really asking for trouble.

CYou get clubs that look like the real thing, provide ~70% of the performance, and cost ~30% of the original.

Let's not make up statistics.
