To everybody who was saying that tiger was not anywhere near back yet (despite him not being outside the top 10 in every stroke play tournament this year) just look at the round he put together today! guy shoots a 7 under 65 to win by 1 from jim furyk and was just unbelievable today! this must have shut all the doubters up and has proven he is well and truly back!

Unfortunately, it won't, because ignorant people can't see the facts and try to seem knowledgeable by being critical of his performances that don't have a "W" in them.

I mean - there is a thread at the moment where some buffoon says that Tiger hasn't done much this year. Amazing.......

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Awesome day for Tiger...I love how he came out and said he needed to fix his Driver before the US Open and just flat out did it and more. Amazing driving by Tiger means he's gonna be scary good.

You are wrong. He failed to win the Masters and let a journeyman from Argentina get the Green Jacket. Tiger has to win at least two majors to show he is really back. One major does not cut it. ANY ONE can win ONE major in a year. Cabrera had done that twice. Is Tiger NOT better than Angel?

kenny perry,geoff ogilve o and euros dont have a huge factor on pga why do you think that euros are sooo good?why do people with multiple uro your wins find it so difficult to win in the states?

That shot on 18 is one of his best ever. Just when he needed it, he hit that shot to 10". That's the stuff. And Tiger has more "stuff" than anyone i've ever seen. I've been watching golf for 35 years, or more. That was THE STUFF!

No hate. Just a realistic assessment. A Major is a Major. The Memorial is NOT a Major. Furyk and Love are washed up. Byrd is a nobody. Tiger has to beat the best at Bethpage, and then I will praise him.

      @boogielicious and I are definitely in for the Stay & Play and will need the extra night's stay on Friday.       Taking your dispersion and distance in consideration I analyzed the 4 posible ways to play the hole, or at least the ones that were listed here. I took the brown grass on the left as fescue were you need to punch out sideways to the fairway and rigth of the car path to be fescue too.  Driver "going for the green"  You have to aim more rigth, to the bunker in order to center your shotzone in between the fescue.  Wood of 240 over the bunkers I already like this one more for you. More room to land between the fescue. Balls in the fescue 11% down from 30% with driver. Improve of score from 4.55 to 4.40. 4 iron 210 yards besides the bunkers.    Also a wide area and your shot zone is better than previous ones. This makes almost the fescue dissapear. You really need to hit a bad one (sometimes shit happens). Because of that and only having 120 yards in this is the best choice so far. Down to 4.32 from 4.40. Finally the 6 Iron 180 yards to avoid all trouble.    Wide area an narrow dispersion for almost been in the fairway all the time. Similar than the previous one but 25 yards farther for the hole to avoid been in the bunkers. Average remains the same, 4.33 to 4.32.  Conclusion is easy. Either your 4iron or 6 iron of the tee are equaly good for you. Glad that you made par!
