I probably went through 1 1/2 sleeves yesterday on 9 holes. While i did like the way they stopped on the green and evens spun back when I hit a good wedge, I think the ball cuts and scuffs a little too easy.

I am not a great ball striker but hitting a sand wedge from 80 yards out with and spinning the ball back maybe 2 feet, I then go and mark my ball and find these little bits of cover coming off the ball and have to use my finger nail to try and clean them off. I then notice 3 distinct cut lines where my wedge caught the ball. After 2 to 3 holes the balls had big scuffs on it and I would bring out a new one.

At $20 a box maybe I can go through them like this instead of the $42 for the Bridgestone RX, but losing a ball does not make me cringe as much.

I used to refer to them as Rock Flights also. I really like the feel of these and I was driving them 260 to 280 with draw and fade. They felt nice off the putter. I will definately play them again. I just wish the cover could last a bit longer.

Made by Callaway. I tried them and for the price, I don't think there is a better $20/box of balls out there. Many soft cover balls shred, so that comes with the territory. Its a little easier to take when the price isn't so dear.

Balls play great but don't last very long as the cover doesn't exactly scred but micro fibres kinda come up from the ball and I worry they effect the ball flight. Now this is the first 3 peice ball I've played and I improved by like 8 strokes! I shot a 72 last weekend (Par 66) and hit a driver 280 which thoroughly impressed my playing companions. My putting and chipping improved tremendously. I may try another ball if on sale just to compare the durability as I don't actualy lose many balls OB. Golf town has the Sirius URC on sale...should I try?

I recommend the Nike One Tour (currently on sale 2dz for $59.99 @ Dick's). I played a round with 1 ball and zero scuff marks.

Tried them today, wasn't impressed, but they weren't bad. Didn't get the stopping power I get with a B330-RX, which I also tried out today. Really liked the RX, better than the PV1 for me. I'll play the gamers til I run out, but probly won't buy another box.

Damn I wanna try these. I just have no good reason to buy them with all the extra balls I have and the fact I cant use them until my leg heals.

Off the top of my head I can't recall the URC/URS differences, one was for a higher swing speed. But not to thread jack, the Srixon balls are also very good, and the new formulation even better.

It seems that balls have really begun to become a very competitive market.

Been going on for quite some time; its much more of a commodity than golf clubs and maintains cash flow.

Try the D2 feel.

It plays almost the same as the gamer-a little less spin, but the cover is more durable. Plus, you can get them for under $14 for a 15 pack at wal-mart. I was pleasantly surprised with them after not being able to find Gamers anywhere.

If the D2 only spins "a little less" than the Gamer I'm not going to like the Gamers.

I guess I'll try them since I already have them though.
