Went to the range today with my new Big Bertha Diablo and hit a crap load of balls.
However there was one ball i hit that left a nasty ball mark on the face of my driver =(
Its pretty bad too. You can actually feel the scrapes of the ball mark and they are rough.

Any way to get rid of it? Its bothering me really bad!!!!

I thought maybe really fine steel wool or a scotch bright pad?

Ill try to get a pic up
Thanks

To be honest before you try anything yourself call callaway and ask if theres anything they can do. Usually there customer service is great so they might be able to help you or give you some direction on what how to fix it.

Looks nasty. What the heck was that ball? a rock?
Call Callaway. I won't be surprised if they replaced it for you.

You didn't hit a crap load of balls.

You hit a load of crap balls.

Very true.

I emailed Callaway so we will see what they say. I would much rather fix myself than wait for them to fix.

Very true.

Yeah that looks pretty nasty for a golf ball to have hit it. I mean, still playable and all but it's probably worth a shot to at least see what Callaway says. I doubt it's something you could fix yourself and Callaway if they do anything all all, would just replace it like others have said.

HAHAHA Could you imagine sitting there at the driving range and some guy brings a bucket of rocks and just starts whacking them.. If you have the right visual mind you'll lose it.

Wow! When I first saw the thread I figured you may have been over-reacting to a scratch or two or something...but that is really pretty big and could certainly effect the playability of the club.

Yeah I thought the exact same thing but man that is a serious mark.

yah i'm assuming it's probably sand on the ball that's responsible. i had to stop going to a driving range near my house bc it's so old if i hit off the grass the balls would inevitably get sand on the balls and scuff my last driver :x shit makes me angry

Okay its kind of fixed lol
I used a very fine nail file to smooth down the scratches.
I didnt go super far and dig into it, just far enough to feel smooth.

My guess would be that the ball had some sand stuck to it and i didnt see it.
