I haven't been able to find the right golf glove yet. Currently, I'm using TaylorMade Targa Tour gloves. They're pink and comfortable. But sometimes I keep them in my pocket, and depending on what I'm wearing that day, velcro pockets or buttoned pockets, I guess the velcro rubs against my gloves and now they have a hole in them. I guess gloves are like shoes where you have to try them on. But for women, is there a particular kind/brand of glove that work best? I'm particular in my gloves, they must be pretty (my TaylorMades are pink), but they have to also be functional and comfortable

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will have to check them out. Wow, I've looked these two gloves up and they're about $20+. Will def. need to try them on to see how they feel. I think I need to upgrade from my TaylorMade Targa Tours :(

I'd recommend against the sci-flex. They are not very durable at all. I initially bought 2 pairs because they look great and breathe well in hot weather. However, they didn't last more than 2 rounds.

I moved on to nike gloves and like the grip they provide for a good many rounds. I found all their gloves to be very similar as far as durability goes, but they just seem to be a little stronger than other gloves, but durability is my #1 quality that I look for b/c I hate buying new gloves all the time, so keep that in mind.

I moved from Nike to Footjoys to Bionic. I like the feeling of bionic so far but it does take some getting used to. The footjoy gloves don't seem to last very long. A buddy of mine gets his from Costco, there is a Callaway 3 pack that is crazy cheap but he goes through them way to fast he said.

I would try the Nike and Bionic if you can.

you must have the grip of death on your club, cause mine's holding up better than any other glove id had..

I've looked at the Bionic gloves, they seem a little too stiff for me, but like you said, you just probably need to get used to it. I've had FJ gloves and they didn't last me very long and had to keep buying new gloves. But I've seen really nice Nike gloves, but I'm sure they're like shoes and will have to try them on first. But unfortunately, you can't really take them out for a test drive on the course actually playing...Unfortunately the Nike gloves I've seen and like, are available online only from like tgw.com. But its hard buying gloves online without having tried them on. I don't think Golfsmith carries Nike gloves, I haven't seen any, and will have to check out Roger Dunn that's around.

Do people wear gloves on both the left AND right hand (if you're a righty)? I've been wearing a glove on my right hand because I get blisters :(

I don't spend a ton of time with gloves ... I usually just go to Golfsmith and find a glove that fits that has a thick piece of padding/leather on the palm of the hand and perhaps on the thumb since that's where most of the wear & tear happens for me.

I find the cheapest one (usually around $10) that has the extra leather on the thumb & palm, and I'm done! I usually go through a few gloves per season so I know this purchase isn't going to be my last ... so I don't buy super expensive ones and I don't waste alot of time trying to find the "perfect" glove

I'm right handed and I wear a glove on my left hand. But Golf_Gal, I would say if you get blisters on a specific hand then wear a glove or a band aid or some sports tape to help out.

thats bad, that means your trying to get a lot of your strength from your right side when most of it should come from your left side. practice with one only on your left hand and try to be more left side dominate and see how it goes.

So in other words, the left hand should be all your power and strength whereas the right should just be for direction? Interesting....

sports tape for the blisters is a must

I keep a roll of pink sports tape in my bag and band-aids as well :) those little critters keep coming up...but once you get blisters, they turn into calluses and then you won't get blisters anymore?

I wear a med/lrg or a lrg, my hands are soft. I have never gotten a blister from golf, I do take my rings off. I wear 2 gloves when cold. I have found that cheap cabretta gloves are nicer than expensive "tech" gloves. I buy gloves from Amazon and ebay. I have been surprised at the products I have found at Target, better than I expected.

Hmm....I'll have to check out Target. I didn't think Target carried golf stuff, I guess it all depends on which Target you to as well, lol.

    • I’m not sure I agree. It’s just what the majority find more entertaining. Most people prefer women’s gymnastics over men in the Olympics. How much hype is there with the men’s compared to the women’s? I bet you can rattle off several big names in women’s gymnastics and only a handful of men. Women’s tennis …same thing. And sure enough, their purses are the same. However, WNBA, awful…LPGA, not near as much interest than PGA. Don’t think it’s really that complicated IMO.

    • Hence your Avatar!😜 I drink a lot of water during the day if I’m playing or exercising. I get cramps otherwise.
    • If you walk up to a food/drink kiosk at Magic Kingdom and ask the person for a cup of "magic water" they will give you a small cup of Sprite for free. About 3 fingers worth. They don't sell alcohol at MK anymore so I go over to one of the courses while she hangs out there.
    • This isn't some kind of natural fact. It's a lot more complicated than this implies.
