Mizuno Golf

Thread Starter
Anyone have any experience with these guys? I used Mizuno baseball equipment exclusively for sometime and it was great. Performance, durability, everything was in the products. I've always been interested in Mizuno Golf products but haven't taken the plunge. Anyone care to express their opinions/ideas on Mizuno clubs?

Re: Mizuno Golf

I love Mizuno's golf equipment and I think you'll find many here who respect and love them as well.

Heck just read today's review of the MP T-10 wedges and you'll find more here

Re: Mizuno Golf

Very well built clubs. Have a set sitting in my Garage and a putter. If you can play there is no better club out there. Unfortunetely I can not play (well I can kind of but not the way you have too to be punished so hard for mishits.

Re: Mizuno Golf

I too am a big fan of Mizuno irons, I am on my second set. I think they are as soft as any forged irons on the market. With a variety of irons, from traditional musclebacks to cavity back you can generally find one that fits your eye, ear, and swing.

Re: Mizuno Golf

Great clubs. They have been among the best irons in golf for a long time and recently Mizuno has worked at making their drivers, fairway woods and wedges much better and IMO they now rival any company in golf.

My limited experience says:
Drivers - Don't do it.
Fairway woods and hybrids - ?
Wedges - great stuff
Blade Irons - feel great, durable, a lifetime of fun, there are better irons out there feelwise - it's not always about the "buttah".

Love them. I am on my first set of Mizuno irons and I think I'm sold for life.

Re: Mizuno Golf

mizuno irons are ranked as some of the best in the world which say something about their quality

Ive talked to some people who were very much disappointed with the quality of their Mizuno irons.
They found that the lofts and swingweights were incorrect for what the specs for those irons said.
I loved my Mizunos but if you are going to nitpick, that is definetly something you can find negative to say about Mizuno.

Re: Mizuno Golf

The only mizuno club I ever owned I purchased back in early 90's. It's a 14° driving iron (1 iron) with a bulbous shape. Needles to say I could never hit the thing and I might try to unload it on EBAY.

No offense but this doesn't really add value to the conversation

I am a Mizuno fan too
Have had the following products
Aerolite 2 stand bag......lightest and strongest out there and ive had a few stand bags in recent times and this will outlast them, good design with offset storage areas for the irons to avoid the bag clatter works well
Mizuno joggers....had now for about 6 years and still look great ,like slippers and show no signs of wear...love them too
Mizuno blue rage driver 350cc......had a couple of drivers back ,absolutely long. Will never get back to that distance now getting on in years but a beautiful club ,sold to a friend who is playing socially and he loves it too
Mizuno mp 30s .....beautiful irons that i have hit some awesome shots with and posted some great scores, will not be going anywhere ,will be buried with me
Mizuno wedges 51,56and 60 deg....Great wedges, forged and classic in style absolutely love them

With both baseball and golf they have a strong and positive reputation and i am sure you will not regret playing or using Mizuno products
Note... I mentioned the joggers because they highlight the very fact that they do produce quality gear no matter what it may be.... a lot of people wouldnt even consider buying their joggers but they should ...

Re: Mizuno Golf

I have played Mizuno right from when I started. By far the best set of irons they have ever produced are the MP32s. Perfect size, beautiful to look at and very forgiving if your having a shit day!! Their woods are very underrated. I have played the MX500 driver and the F50 3 wood fitted with the aldila pink shaft in for nearly four years now. I have not been able to find better clubs to replace them... until i tried the MP600 that is!

In the Bag:
Driver: Mizuno MP600 9.5* Grafalloy Prolaunch Blue 65S
3 Wood: Mizuno F50 15* Aldila NV 65S (Pink)
7 Wood: Mizuno F50 21* Dynamic Gold S300 or
Hybrid: Mizuno CLK Fli Hi 17* Exsar HS2 Blue Stiff or
2 iron: Nike Pro Combo OS Speedstep Stiff
Irons 3-PW: Nike Pro Combo OS Speedstep Stiff
Gap: Mizuno R Series 52* Chrome
Lob: Mizuno R Series 58* Black Nickel
Putter: Scotty Cameron Santa Fe 33.5"
Ball: Srixon Z-URS
Bag: Ogio Grom (Red)

Re: Mizuno Golf

I've played mizuno golf clubs most of my life. my first set was mp-14 blades, then I went to callaway irons, then to ping irons then back to mizuno, and I haven't look back since!! I'm currently hitting MP-32 blades and couldn't be happier. Some of the best irons and wedges in the game.

I just purchased a brand new set of MP-T wedges to replace my Clevelands.

That would be a load of utter garbage.

Re: Mizuno Golf

I've played Mizuno irons exclusively but have hit many other sets of clubs on the range that belong to my buddies. There's nothing better than the feel you get with a Mizuno. Go to your local golf shop and look at how many sets of irons are returned and then look to see how many of them are Mizunos. I'll bet there are fewer returned sets of Mizuno irons than any other set. A little anal but take a calculator and figure out the percentages.

Re: Mizuno Golf

they make the best irons by a country mile. wedges and putters are up with the best too, however they are still playing catch up when it comes to woods imo!

I work in a golf shop and get to hit pretty much every new iron that comes out and nothing i have hit have come close to the feel and workability of my 67's.

I cant ever see myself getting a set of irons from now on that arent Mizuno!
your playing off 1.3, so you would be looking probably at the new mp-68's and they look sweet!

Re: Mizuno Golf

I have a Mizuno putter that though somewhat mysterious is enjoyable to use. As my game improves I do intend to eventually try out and probably buy some Mizuno irons but that is a few years down the road.
