Forecast for the rest of the week = Highs to push 50 and Rain through the weekend. That should finish up the remainder of the snow, but we'll be left with things being pretty soggy for sometime. If all goes well, we'll be playing before the end of the month .... That's the hope anyway.

I just played my first round in Mass this past Sunday. There was still a small amount of snow on the course and fairways and greens were pretty wet. But it still felt great to get out. Best of luck for a warm and dry March!

Just talked to my Pro over at Delbrook (local muni) and he told me that unfortunately unless we get some rain in the next few weeks, or some very high temperatures, it won't be opening until late march/early april :( I might just go drive 45 minutes to Pro Circle Golf in Spring Grove, IL to hit balls out of a heated shed :P

Im gearing up for golf season too. This weekend my girlfriend and I are going to the Greater Madison Golf Show, which should be fun. Now that the warmer temps are here and the snow and ice are on their way out, Im ready for golf season.
This time of year is always a little sad because that means the end of outdoor ice skating/hockey season; but its also an exciting time of year because it means golf season is just around the corner.

Whats in my :sunmountain: C-130 cart bag?

This past week ... 54 holes in 4 days. Things are a little "sloppy" in spots, but it feels good to be playin'. Weather has taken a slight turn downhill, but Spring is Here!!!!

I'm not from WI but my wife is from Waupun and I play in that area several times a year so I feel entitled to answer :) Here in IL, just on the north side of Chicago, it was in the 60s Thursday and Friday and I went to the range twice, started feeling good and was hoping to play this weekend, but alas I woke up to snow! Arrgh. It's supposed to be warm again next week so I'm holding out hope. My wife tells me I've been swinging in my sleep...

Not many updates lately, but since I'm volunteering at the PGA championship this year at Whistling Straits, I have a deal that I can play either the Straits Course or the Irish Course until May 31st for a reduced rate. Problem is that I don't have a whole lot of people to play with. I'm tempted to see if anyone here might be interested in going, but I've got no idea who lives near the place lol. Basically its something like $60 + $28 cart fee to play the Irish Course until May 31st, and it is $160 + $60 Mandatory Caddie Fee + X% Caddie Tip to play the Straits Course. I'm still on the fence about taking advantage of it as I've got crap for money at the moment and its a 3'ish hour drive up there lol.

And as a side note, I can't give the deal to anyone else as the reservation has to be made with my name and a credit card with my name on it as well, so it would have to be me and between 1 and 3 other people as I may have some people already, but no idea yet haha.

how can you guys live way up there? you only get to play golf for like 4 months. two months is a long texas winter. how do the courses turn a profit short of charging exorbitant fees?
