Gave my Titleist 909comp to my 18 year old son, who is a better golfer than I and got the new Ping G15. If anyone is in the market for a new driver this one is impressive! Mine is 9 degrees with the stock ping stiff shaft, great sound and very long. The 909 works well but this Ping is easier to hit and makes me look like a better golfer! LOL.....

Many years after you posted (haha!)...

I couldn't agree more.

I'm a low handicap, and have had a G10 for a long while now, but have just changed to a G15. I much prefer the G15, and it's the first driver in ages that has made me want to change.

I do like the R9 Supertri, but the wife would kill me if I spent that much!

I picked up a used one at Golf Galaxy today for $170. I am happy with my Nike driver but I heard sooooo many great thing about the G15 that I had to give it a try. If its works for me as well as everyone else then I'll be making a switch. I am very optimistic.

the G15 goes straight all day long.

It's a great thing for most of us, but if you're into shaping shots or regularly work the ball on the golf course, you're not going to like it. The design and the weighting just makes it very difficult to hit draws and cuts.

Overall, G15 is a great driver. I'm looking forward to try the K15, though.

You do realize Bubba Watson uses the G15 and plays mainly a cut but can also draw the ball. The G15 sets up maybe half a degree closed to almost square which is the only thing I don't like. If they made one that was slightly open then I'd actually replace my 9015D.

You mean the guy who hit a right-hand club 300+ yards at Ping facility?

You do realize that no driver in the market can guarantee you straight drives all day long, let alone the swing speed of Bubba Watson. It's my bad, though. I should have noted that it was my opinion.

Still like mine a lot. Hard to miss with it, goes as far as anything else and looks good to me.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I hopefully am getting these clubs soon, I am a new member to the forum and found out I cant make a thread about my problem, since you guys seem to know alot about ping can you guys tell me why some sites have g15 clubs for 400$ but high name stores like golfsmith etc are around 800? I was guessing scams, not totally sure if i am right.

New Ping G15 irons for $400 is sure to be counterfeit. Ping is very strict about their pricing--they produce amazing golf clubs, and they know it, and they know people will pay a premium for them. If you want a deal, you need to either buy preowned online or in stores, or buy an older model (like the G5 irons, which are under $400 legitimately and are similar to the G15s). For preowned, some good online sites for Ping clubs are globalgolf, 3balls, callawaygolfpreowned, and golfsmith.

Equipment:
Ping K15 Driver (10.5º) - Diamana BB R flex; Ping G15 4 Wood (TFC R flex); Ping G15 20* Hybrid (TFC R flex); Ping G15 23* and 27* Hybrids (AWT R flex steel); Ping G15 Irons 6-GW (AWT R flex steel); Ping I-Wedge 54* Wedge; CG14 BP 58* Wedge; Odyssey Black Series Tour Designs #9 Putter
