Congrats to Padraig on his first PGA Tour victory !

How about that lip-out by Singh? And how about those three drives on 18 - all within an area no bigger than a square yard. His third drive nearly rolled into one of his first two!

Once again, congrats to Padraig. He earned it with his 63 and the brilliant flop shot on the first playoff hole.

Speaking of Padraig, I saw him playing a Pro V1 in the tournament. I think it was a closeup of his ball prior to his pitch on 18, or maybe a putt or something. It was a Titleist Pro V1 with a black dot. Unless it wasn't Padraig's ball, but I'm 99% confident I'm remembering this right.

Isn't he supposed to be playing Wilson balls?

Just got word from Titleist, and added it to the story on the blog:

Tap-In: It's worth noting that Padraig Harrington, a Wilson Staff player, has been playing the Titleist Pro V1x for the past year unpaid. Just this week he signed a deal with Titleist.

It is great to see Vijay and Padraig and the playing well, especially when Love, campbell, and the rest are well stinking it up.

How about that lip-out by Singh?

I had this tourney Tivoed just like I always do and the play off got cut off right when Padraig was about to putt on the second playoff hole. I missed the lip out by Veej. So I guess he is the first person from the Republic of Ireland to win a PGA tourney.

Well, I'll be honest, I am an American through and through and don't necessarily pull for the guys from Europe! Yeah, I still have a little bitterness from the last couple Ryder Cups, but that's ok, that is what makes it so darn good.

With that being said, I am very glad that Padraig won an event in the US. He definitely loves playing over here, and he has the ability to not only win tourneys like the Honda Classic, but he has the ability to win the majors as well!

I think he is going to be very dangerous in the majors now that the pressure of winning in the US is over.

I think Colin would have won a major or two if he would have somehow gotten a win in a smaller US tournament first.

Anyway, congrats to Padraig, I look for him to continue to do well on into the Player's Championship and Masters.
