Honma & Miura golf clubs and Galvin Green clothing

First of all, thanks for asking about Miura. We're generally available in the U.S. through dealer-fitters...there are 77 in this country. Where do you live? I can hook you up with one. They're all really good fitters and easy to work with. You'll end up learning a lot about your game, in addition to getting great clubs.

Thanks Adam for joining and posting. Good luck in your new role - I hope to see Miura flourish.

The fitters are a great perk to choosing Miura irons. As I said in the recent review , they strongly believe in getting a very good fitting club and are very strict about it - as opposed to many other brands which pay lip service to "getting properly fit" but don't really follow up on it or enforce it very much.

Visit a Miura fitter, talk with them, and check out the irons. You'll be glad you did.

Miura are a niche brand which is not sold in box stores. Honma are generally considered overpriced status clubs designed for markets where overpriced status symbols are all the rage. I've never heard of Galvin Green, but it "sounds like" a knockoff of Calvin Klein or an NFL head coach.

Galvin Green are big over in the UK but WAY pricey for a lot of people. They may well be fantastic clothes and worth every penny but I for one won't be paying out for them.

Whoa - Galvin Green is a well respected, high quality European Brand of Outerwear -- known mostly for their foul weather gear for golf that keeps one dry.

Let Honma be Honma ... It is what it is

Miura or Miurahhhhhh - very nice, and they don't want to be sold in box stores. Custom fitting all the way from their reputable dealers.

I'm sure that brand of outerwear rocks and since I also have the internet, I can see their website. I commented on what the name sounds like. If a Norweigan says that Ford reminded him of a deep narrow inlet would you comment, or since that's not a status brand would you care?

No animosity intended. Just stating my opinion that the OP was referring to a brand of clothing most North Americans would have to Google, a famously overpriced brand, and a niche brand (a good niche though - players looking for quality gear) that's not sold in box stores. I've owned a few sets of irons that at one time had cult followings. I've even made extremely glowing posts about a couple like the Apex PC.

Galvin Green is widely regarded as some of the best golf wet weather gear available over here in the UK. It is pricey, but you pay for quality. My Galvin Green suit has been one of my best golfing investments, mostly because where i live its either raining, windy as hell or just cold!

      I've played Bali Hai, Bear's Best and Painted Desert. I enjoyed Bali Hai the most--course was in great shape, friendly staff and got paired in a great group. Bear's Best greens were very fast, didn't hold the ball well (I normally have enough spin to stop the ball after 1-2 hops).  The sand was different on many holes. Some were even dark sand (recreation of holes from Hawaii). Unfortunately I was single and paired with a local "member" who only played the front 9.  We were stuck behind a slow 4-some who wouldn't let me through even when the local left. Painted Desert was decent, just a bit far from the Strip where we were staying.
