Greetings to all! My name is Alan and I am the Community Director for The Sand Trap. I've played golf for about 30 years and enjoy reading about golf history and instruction. When I do the chance to get out (which is rare lately with two kiddos under four), you can usually find me at Elk River Golf Club.
As the Community Director, I'll be working on a variety of ways to promote the site, which includes bringing attention to interesting threads, promoting contests, and providing support to our supporters and sponsors. I've learned a lot about golf and made some great friends while being a member and staff writer at The Sand Trap and it's my hope that the time you spend here is worth it, whether it's reading one of the many reviews, having a friendly debate about all things golf, or maybe meeting up with some fellow forum members and new friends and enjoying a round at your favorite course.
He'll be an asset to the site and, more importantly, to you (the members). He'll be instrumental in helping to set up contests, to shed light on new features, to make sure everyone's using everything this site has to offer, and to funnel feedback to me on how we can improve anything we do here.
