Top 5 Masters

First off, the column was very good. It is a nice addition to The Sand Trap. Second, I have only been watching The Masters since 1997. I picked a hell of a year to start watching this tournament eh? Anyway, here are my personal opinions on the subject, even though I only have 8 or so to choose from. I'll just pick my top 3.

1. 2004- Phil Mickelson winning was great, but all the other action made this Masters even better. There were 2 groups in a row that had a hole-in-one on the 16th hole, KJ Choi was putting it in for eagle, Ernie and Phil were eagleing holes on the back nine. It was the best back 9 of a major I have ever witnessed.

2. 1998- I thought this Masters was very competitive and probably should have gone to a playoff to be honest. Mark O'Meara won it, but two or three others could have easily won. I really thought Duval would win it, as he was on fire at that time. But O'Meara sinking the last putt to win it on 18 was awesome!

3. 1997- OK, I'll give Tiger his due. I really don't think the tournament was very high quality, but it may go down in history as the most memorable major tournament ever! Tiger dominated and it was really the start of something amazing! By the way, who finished 2nd?
