thinking of adding a Hybrid to the bag

My only "woods" in the bag are my driver and 3 wood. I'm thinking since I cannot hit my 3-4 iron worth a damn, especially from the grass, I should invest in a hybrid. I don't want to spend top dollar for a new one, been looking at some older models that are still available for new. I saw the Burner 08 available on the bay for as little as $60. Not sure if that's the best option since I know nothing about these clubs.

Anyone got any good recommendations for hybrids? Who makes the best overall. Adams? TM?

I started with the R7 rescue hybrids, Then early last year I bought an Adams Boxer and a TMade Burner to see which I liked better.

The Burner, for me, are WAY EASY to hit.  They remind me of the old Adams metal woods, smaller face, very easy to get thru the rough.

As far as where to buy, I've been buying clubs on Ebay for nearly a decade.  I've never had problems with it.  Just make sure the seller has a high percentage of feedback.

Nowadays, there are so many hybrids available, you just need to go out and demo some to find what you like.

If there were a settled upon answer to this, it would be a bit easier. I'm quite fond of the Nike and Adams hybrids myself. If you have a golf shop near you with a used club bin, consider going through that and trying out a few. One word of caution: I see you have irons from the Burner family. Be wary of the lofts of these and with your future hybrid(s), as they may not mix well. For example, my 4-hybrid is 23 degrees, as is the 4-iron that is in my iron set. However, with most of the Burner family, that's a 5-iron loft. If you got the 4-hybrid from my series, it might not go as far as your 4I, while the 3-hybrid might in this context.

My first hybrid was a TM Burner Superfast 21 degree and I loved it. I think you can still pick them up cheap now second hand.

I've heard fantastic things about Adams hybrids but have not tried them myself.

Lastly I *love* my JPX 800 19 degree. It's still part of the current Mizzie range however bizarrely if you buy it brand new it's only a tenner more than the old Burner. Go figure.

I bought an Adams A2os from 3balls/Ebay for 12 bucks and have been happy with it.

My instructor said "get a hybrid".

I'm not a hybrid fan, but have hit some. I thought the Niki hybrids were very nice from last year. I don't think that they have changed much.

thanks for the tips guys, I pulled the trigger on a Burner High Launch 22 degree. A couple of you mentioned burners are easy to hit, I think this will compliment the rest of my clubs well. $60 bucks.

I won a 5H Baffler model by Cobra, afew yrs back and hit it so much better than my long irons that I went and bought a 3H and 4H of the same model and love hittin them.

Find U some good used clubs that someone couldn't hit.....ebay, craig's list
