Can anyone recommend some good golf shirts? I want something light and breathable. It's getting crazy hot here in Texas and cotton shirts aren't cutting it anymore. Thanks.

Well I dont have many different kinds, I have some Beretta Shooting Polos, and Addidas Climilite but I like Kohls Grand Slam shirts, cut bigger than most and very comfortable wicking shirts and good sale prices. I do not have any but like the looks of Nike shirts.

If your on a fixed budget, and not opposed to wal-mart, they have some. I bought some at our local store on sale for $5 each during "off season". Very breathable. I think they are regularly $15.

My Bag:

Burner 9.5

X 3&5 Woods

DCI Gold 3- PW(48*) + 52* Vokey wedge

56* sand wedge

If there is a TJmaxx or Ross there in Texas they get some upper line golf apparel that they sell for $15. Look for one of these type of secondary clothes retailers they buy from stores that need to get rid of items that didn't sell, I have bought $60 golf shirts for $15 at these places.

I have UA and Nike . But lately I got myself Adidas Climate Cool polo . It keeps me dry and cool all day long , and most important it does not affect my swing .

I have bought Callaway,Nike, and Greg Norman shirts at TJMaxx for about 15-20 a piece.  They are all very breathable and high quality.

I'm a big fan of the Adidas shirts, they have them in a relaxed cut which works best for me.  I keep an eye out for them at TJ Maxx and Marshall's, plus the golf stores will have last years clothes marked down quite a bit.  Here in KC we have the big 3 retailers, Watts, Golfsmith and Golf Galaxy so I checked them regularly.

Adidas and UA Loose are my favorites in terms of fit and comfort in the heat.  I just picked up a few UA shirts from the UA Outlet for 75% off.  I have one Puma shirt I like but the other is so thin it's actually transparent and doesn't look very good on.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Nike Outlets sell least seasons golf stuff at a substantial discount. I always get my gear from outlets. 50-65% off easy

+1 for adidas and UA loose. i like the climacool because they are longer in the back and it keeps my shirt tucked in. i also have a pair of neon pink adicool shorts that i've yet to wear outside the house.

i promised my wife i would wear them the next round she plays with me.

I like Puma shirts... especially @ Ross for $10 each.

Puma shirts are the lightest I've tried, great for hot/sticky weather.

Puma, Nike and Adidas gear from Ross is what I look for. They have some lightweight Polo brand shirts usually for $20 or less as well, They breathe ok but are a bit more restrictive in the shoulders though. Ross is where its at for sure! Stay out of the Lewisville store North of Dallas, the XL stuff is mine haha.

The golf galaxy near me had 50% off clearance so I got 2 dri fit shirts and 2 pairs of shorts for under $100. I don't know if it's a regional thing but it might be worth checking out if you have a golf galaxy near you.
